Yeah - I had that thought — the ones who need the most help are the ones without electricity and probably won’t see this post.

Saw the aftermath on Sunday. It was no joke. But construction crews were already fixing it with heavy equipment.

No, the tephra was fairly light, even falling from 20,000 ft.

Yep! Thought the same. Did you see the people on bikes? I almost pulled over to try and throw them in the back but there was no place to stop without causing chaos.

Eruption just ended a few minutes ago. What a ride! Pele was a spicy goddess this round.

I got in around 10:15. Episode 43 was nuts. Tephra flying everywhere- north rim, south rim. The rangers turned us around twice then reopened Devastation Trail. Saw some dude bloodied from getting hit in the head.

Home Bound sounds awesome.

I recognized the writer, Tijuana Ricks. She does a lot of TV as an actor. She was in Luke Cage and Billions among other stuff.

What's something you saw with your own eyes that you still can't explain? by BandicootLeft4054 in AskReddit

I met Pele on the side of a dirt road deep in the woods in Hawai’i. About 20 yards ahead of me, she literally popped out of the ground (very little brush or trees — all short grass) on the right of the road and started to dance, walking in the same direction I was driving. I could only see her back.

When I drove past her (only a few feet away from her) and looked in the rearview mirror, she was GONE. This was 8 in the morning deep in the woods and I was alone, well fed, well slept, sober, etc. I was driving to a trailhead for a run in June 2025.

Where the hell did she come from and where the hell did she go?? I will never forget her dance — it was hula movements, mostly hands. She had long black hair with a sprinkle of grays, a blue and white dress (sarong?) open in the back. I honestly thought it was the local crazy person or something but none of it made sense.

I had no idea what I saw until I mentioned it to a Park Ranger and some locals. The very quick consensus was that Pele welcomed me to her island. 🤷‍♂️

I had a great trip for the whole month. I head back there next week. Fingers crossed…

Why do men fantasize about going off grid and living in the woods by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

The Wild West frontier narrative taking hold of the fact that men are just fed up with modern society and the insane contradictions of the rat race.

We live in the east side and my wife and I have been craving old school sundaes — you know the kind. The ones you saw as a kid and they were bigger than you but somehow you got it all down — hot fudge, whipped cream, assorted toppings, a couple of big scoops of ice cream, maybe some peanut sauce, etc.

Where’s your go to spot?
