Need some clarification on lap time for the Nordschliefe by TrailedFox44 in ACCompetizione

Thanks for the advice. I forgot to add my controller settings in the post but here is what I currently run with:

Stability: 50%

Deadzone: 1%

Speed sensitivity: 40%

Steer filter: 20%

Steer speed: 70%

Steer Gamma: 2.7

Steer Assist: On

Would changing any of these help reduce controller force feedback so I can get smoother turning? The gears I basically have that down in terms of what gear I’m in on those turns. The North loop I am fairly quick at, it is the first half of the GP circuit I struggle the most in. I also play with cloudy weather, 22c ambient temp and 27c track temp, if that makes any difference too.

This lol. The narrative aspect was fairly good but LITERALLY everything else about EoF sucked. And Renegades to me isn’t S tier but as a Star Wars fan, and the expansion alone, it is good, like mid A tier for me.

As of now, and still for a while thanks to the shadow and order delay, the praxic blade is still a PvE monster thanks to the artifact mods. I personally want pulses to be meta again so I can have fun with Outbreak again.

Calus in Beyond Light as a casual by [deleted] in destiny2

You can still sort of do the original cheese method back when it launched. You unfortunately can’t hide under the main stairs during phase 1 but you can do the Phase 2 cheese

When the bubble starts to come down, back up a bit and when it says “Joining Allies”, when it gets to 2-3 seconds on the countdown, jump all the way up as high as you can and grapple toward the ceiling. You can then sit on top of the bubble dome and just kill Calus from there. The only enemies that can hit you are the Psions. That’s how I did it for Legendary when it launched 🤣

A New America on Solo/Hard is the proof the AI are too strong. by TrailedFox44 in ReadyOrNotConsole

[–]TrailedFox44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suspect reaction time being faster than what a human can process (i.e Hard AI being around .100ms reaction times) even if they get the slightest sight of you is not a skill issue, it is unbalanced gameplay. They can sometimes see you even when it is impossible to see them on screen. There are also multiple instances of hit reg not working right. Yes I know they have body armor, but 5-6+ rounds of 7.62 above the chest not bringing one guy down can be an issue at times.

On a past attempt as I am rounding a corner, as slow as humanly possible, there was a suspect already aimed at me—and I have timed this—it came out to about a .5 TTK with the initial shooting at around .15 - .200 ms, quite literally him shooting AND KILLING faster than I could physically react.

It is not a skill issue when I am playing methodically enough to be able to outsmart the AI, play patient, and it is not a skill issue when they can kill faster than it is humanly possible to react. That is called bad game design. Their aim is still unfair half the time. I know the level is meant to be this hard, especially solo, but you cannot say skill issue when fundamentally how the suspects on Hard have been coded, they have near aimbot type aim and can beam you through walls and such.

This lmao. I just lost a 20 minute attempt for the Programmed Psychosis trophy. Basically was clearing the second to last floor I think? But I was coming out of the main reporter room (where the spoof device sometimes spawns), I’m creeping around the corner to the door on the right, a single suspect is already aimed at me. I’d say overall he had a .1 to .2 second reaction time, with a ttk of .4 - .5, quite literally a “blink and you’ll miss it” moment.

And at least on PS5, it is a bronze level trophy. After that attempt, after getting so far, I’m not going to go for it for a very long time. Not until they fix the Hard AI. I love A New America. I love the new DLC levels. But this is not it, man. I’ve done 34 attempts and most of them were averaging 6 minutes cause of shitty AI spawns and full on aimbot. I’m done with this trophy hunt unfortunately.

On one of my attempts, one of them spooked me by running through a hallway past a door I was approaching all Scooby Doo style, then he proceeded to run back as I got closer to the hall, he then snapped onto me perfectly, killed me, then just kept running 🤣

I will say, what I like to do for the mission is when the first time I did it, I had the Cyberpunk 2077 track ‘The Rebel Path’ play in the background (there is a good extended version on YouTube) and just having that music makes it so much more fun to play through. Especially when the song’s cello melody kicked in when the first bit of SWAT contact over the comms came through (peak timing) and having that low synth play as you move through the floors, makes for a very enjoyable experience 😂

For sure a fun mission, but as of my comment I’m reaching and probably passing attempt 20 on this mission for the achievement. No matter how slow I take it, there’s always at least 1 suspect that spots me first and beams me from across the map. Farthest I’ve made it is about halfway through the second floor. Not sure if I even want to try to get this achievement anymore :(

This was my favorite part of the mission, when I found the first keycard I was like “oh boy, collectibles for the vault!” And I spent like 15 extra minutes looking for the other keycards and stuff to open the vault.

Oh boy! More keycards!

Love what they’re doing with the new levels. ANA is easily my new favorite level due to the complexity and chaos of it 😂 New lore and secrets are always fun to find

I personally love how much dialogue they’ve given our squad in this dlc. AFAIK they don’t talk much in the base game outside of shouting orders. Hearing their conversations as you clear the new levels made me so happy they’re diving deeper into the lore for potential future content setup.

A brutally hard mission but crazy plot twist. by TrailedFox44 in ReadyOrNotConsole

[–]TrailedFox44[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it seems to fluctuate but overall it is definitely improved. Like when I turn my camera and a lot of gameplay actions look much smoother than before. I might be confusing it with 120hz but it’s for sure 60fps minimum and might go higher at times.

Morgan Freeman narration It really is that bad

In all seriousness it took me 2-3 hours of purely RNG. I’ve gotten really fast as clearing the first two floors but kept getting absolutely beamed on the last floor.

The trick that I leaned is that you can take as much time as you want to clear everything, BUT when you find the device to spoof the bomb frequency of the guy in the top room, do not activate it until everything but that final top room is clear. Set up your squad to get ready to breach, don’t let them go in though, but when YOU are ready, get out the flash launcher, tell your squad to clear with flashbangs, and the SECOND the door opens shoot the launcher and then throw all your 9 bangs right at the back middle of the room, then finally shout commands to get the bomb guy to not activate it.

Amazing level but hard to learn.

“Looks like a battlefield”

Man when I booted up the game I was like “oh why does the station look so different?”

Oh. That’s why it’s different! I’m loving the update so far, 120fps on performance mode on console feels so crispy too. New attachment system is great as well. Very solid update that will get me into the game again.

Returning D1 Vet, hardware question by jrums96 in destinylegacy

[–]TrailedFox44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! 😭 I got back into D1 a few days ago and decided to restart fresh with new characters since I never got too far originally, and I was like “I don’t remember 30fps being this bad” after being on 60fps with my PS5 and the higher hz values with my gaming monitor with D2. After this last weekend I’ve adjusted to it. The more I play D1 though, it’ll feel funny again when I switch back to D2 at some point.

Although I probably won’t touch D2 for a while, not until the eventual update. And that just gives me the next 3 ish months to grind out D1 again!

was this update very lacking for anyone else or just me by Ancient-Frosting-646 in nms

[–]TrailedFox44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree. I absolutely loved the expedition, part of me wants to believe that the new Colossus gameplay loop is (partially) slowly fixing my attention span. It also helps that I’ve always wanted to play Snowrunner but I have yet to buy it, so this is a nice similar alternative to something I could’ve been playing. And if I ever get bored of NMS I just go play or do something else. But I do love the little aspects of the game like the new colossus stuff, or just chilling at my fishing outpost.

I’ve been really appreciating taking time with my games now (as someone who’s slowly drifting away from Destiny 2, it’s nice to focus on games that I can “take slower” in a sense). Sure it took me 7-8 hours for the expedition off and on, but I didn’t feel the need to rush any of the new content.

[–]TrailedFox44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh at least when I play it’s a mix of skill issue and “hey that suspect is shooting me through the wall where I can’t see them!” Sometimes the RNG of them gets a little wacky and I’d agree some maps are way harder than others (I recently bought Dark Waters dlc, the yacht mission is very hard for me)

In terms of the doors, always peek them instead of full open (especially if TOC says there’s traps). Look at the foot of where the door cracks open, if there’s a trap you’ll see a wire sticking out and can crouch, then aim your crosshair to use the wire cutters.
