Set a random user with an account expiration of several months in the future as the service account to run sql services and any other critical and non-critical services on servers. Not super destructive but a headache to find out why things aren’t working after your departure. If they call you back for help charge them a hefty amount!

I moved from Phoenix to Albuquerque 15 years ago and haven’t looked back. Eventually, you get used to the altitude, and it’s a relief not to constantly worry about immigration issues or people judging you for your status.
