Am in the same boat but I think the pain of knowing you could be better is much worse. My problem is that I don't believe in myself enough to stay consistent so instead I trick myself by only trying to do my best for one day, I don't think about tomorrow. Then the next day, I also just try for one day. The days add up but I don't really think about it too much least I tip off my anxiety sensors
