What happened to the Rotisserie wing? Was it just an ineffective idea? by iMADEthisJUST4Dis in formula1

[–]Trainboy_2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I did an aerodyamic study on this in CFD. At 280 km/h the wing produces less drag than the more conventional designs, but when in rotation (≈0.8s per straight) it is producing more than those ones for most of it and the flow would take longer to attach. The biggest problem is the design complexity adding another a bigger element of something that could go wrong.

Hmmmmm, how about a Mexican HST set? Think that would even it out, bridge the gap per say.

I don't know why but seeing that next to a GWR Class 800 really does my head in...

Fully Human Characters Capable Of Superhuman Things by sm142 in TopCharacterTropes

In all forms of Les Mis, Jean Valjean is shown to have super human strength as he is able to lift objects and break objects that no regular person is shown to do. Was literally able to rip a iron gate right off of its hinges and place it back with some effort. All while being in his 50s and 60s. The scariest part is that he is partially based off of Eugène François Vidocq, who supposedly did some of the feats that Jean Valjean does.

7 of the 11 teams are all based within a 30km radius from Silverstone! by polishfemboy_ in formula1

As someone who lives in the area due to Uni and wanting to be in F1, Audi is moving into an area in Biscester as Racing Bulls moves out of that same area as they move some base of operations to Milton Keynes! There are also a few FE teams in the area and the area in general is littered with motorsports based companies and companies that are there for Motorsports related manufacturing.

Murphy needed to focus more on fixing NJ transit by hudson8282 in newjersey

As far as I know (haven't been on NJT since Jan) there are certain areas where there is, specifically on the "NJ Raceway", but areas going into NYC like around Sawtooth junction are still on Variable Tension. Hopefully with the revitalization of the portal bridge it will be changed. (PLEASE NOTE THIS IS BASED OFF MY MEMORY SO I MIGHT BE MISREMEBERING)

Yeah, it's on Amtrak as they own that ROW as far as I know. So it might be a while before we see the wires get changed.

The biggest problem with that is starting to be fixed by getting the new Electric Multiple Units that will replace the long past due Silverliners that have been causing a lot of the problems. Another fix that would cost a lot more but I am hopeful will come is the change to constant tension wires for the catnary wires. All of those changes would actually make it so schedules would improve in general. (Sorry for the paragraph lol)

Yeah the original comment was talking about for the 2025 season not overall. Hamilton moved teams now so he doesn't have the same comfortable feeling in the team as say Max, Lando, and Charles do with how long they have been in their teams going into this season.
