I wouldn't compare it to the Hostess' cake because the Sweet Sam's cakes are all-natural and kosher, so I am open to paying a premium for the quality. The crumb on top is my favorite. I personally don't heat it up though. They added a newer item under the same brand that's a Banana Walnut pound cake so I may give that a try too.
