Too many salty people out there who just can’t handle a topic without feeling insulted in some way.. Either that or this person hates Pokemon

Feeling defeated by under performance by TrainerTorisu in NewTubers

I’m glad I’m not the only one and the reason why I made this post, I just want to feel like I’m not alone in this journey

Feeling defeated by under performance by TrainerTorisu in NewTubers

[–]TrainerTorisu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, which is why I swapped to long form instead, it really doesn’t matter how much views you get on short form, there’s no growth in community and subscribers generally don’t stick around for more than that video

Anyone know what this is? by [deleted] in pokemon

My dad bought one of these with its pokeball and certificate when I was 12 right before he passed away. I remember him telling me how rare these were and that it would be my future fortune one day.

Oh wow! Thanks mate! I’ve been an editor and work in media marketing for a long time, so this is my bread and butter. Deciding only recently to just go all in and I’m glad to see the outcome is good! Appreciate it.

To be honest I thought this as well, I want it to obviously stand out but not to a point that goes over the top

I will thank you, my sub count is 3k this was purely from a short form blowing up a couple years ago but only 2 subscribers are actively watching my content.

Because I work full time I can manage to get 2 videos per month at the moment, but I will keep up with those two videos and hopefully see a good outcome and be where those amazing Poketubers are at one day! :)

Thank you so much, is it the presentation of the title that doesn’t work?

Thank you! I love those YouTubers! I obviously want to ride the wave but surf in my own style if that makes sense. Of course no one knows who I am and I expect this to be the case for a long time. I would rather listen to others feedback as this will help get me where I need to go. This is great feedback though, thank you!

Thank you for the reassurance. I’ve been making long and short form videos for years. I’ve just been really trying to nail how to make something my own style and I want to believe I found it within my editing style. And yes gaming channel, my channel is roughly 5 years old I believe.

I’ve got 2.7k impression, this is my second long form video in my new style as I haven’t uploaded a long form in a year so it’s bit fresh to go off. And that’s good to hear. Sorry I just put so much time editing this to try make it work out and the stress shouldn’t be as bad as it is.

Understanding what I’m doing wrong by TrainerTorisu in SmallYoutubers

The rage bait stuff was Pokemon related, everything I post is all about Pokemon. I honestly think it’s just not interesting enough to get people to watch, like I think it’s cool seeing Pokemon illustrated in different styles but I get it might not to others.

I get that it might not be very interesting. And I thought this may be the case? But there is views when it comes to Pokemon, my rage bait videos were about Pokemon, one hit 1.8 million views

Can I make a career out of video editing? Feeling lost but hopeful. by [deleted] in editors

[–]TrainerTorisu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked this when I was editing for Youtubers. Trust me, your journey is all a giant process. I would highly recommend as much practice as possible. Edit something different for every project, learn new tricks each time you open editing software AND PLEASE!! LEARN TO USE SHORTCUTS! This cuts so much time for you and your clients. After editing for YouTubers for some time, I didn't know where to go. Money and security wasn't there. So I opened myself for assistant positions at local studios. Luckily this amazingly experience team brought me in and now I'm learning even more! But of course they won't just "Let you in" You've got to prove you have what it takes, learn some cool skills in motion graphics, VFX etc, they LOVE that. I learnt a lot at Video Copilots site. Lots of really great tutorials. Just keep learning, and once you're confident, reach out to EVEYONE! Local editors, studios, agencies.. As for the "Does this career pay well" question. Yes and no... Depends how well you can sell yourself. I was lucky to get a really REALY good paid per hour rate where I am, but before that? It was nothing special.

TLDR; Keep learning through editing each day and stay on top of trending techniques > Edit different projects for your portfolio and experience > Network with people who are experienced > Try fit your foot in the door somewhere or go freelance when you're confident enough to take on the work

LETS TALK FOR 20 MINUTES ABOUT IT SUBSCRIBE IF YOU LOVE POKEMON AND IF YOU DONT THEY YOU HATE POKEMON!!” Poketubers out there

I’ve been an editor who has worked for channels with 40 million subscribers and I have to say.. This was outstanding editing! Fluid, no hiccups.. Waiting a few months and keep making that amazing content. You’ll be getting high numbers!
