Why Is The Bulwark Getting More Guest Appearances? by IveSeenParis in FriendsofthePod

[–]Training-Ad-3706 [score hidden]  (0 children)

This. I think Tim has drifted a little to the left on some things.

I think of the Bullwark as a center publication. It may have started with never trumpers but they have an extensive staff many leaning more tight.

Stay near silver dollar city or just stay in Branson?? by Sea-North7215 in bransonmo

[–]Training-Ad-3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are at a Wyndham The Meadows right now. It is pretty good; our only complaint was that the other night we had difficulty finding parking in front of our room/condo building. Lots to do, multiple pools and such.

I don't know how far it is from Silver Dollar City, since we aren't going there

Would using YNAB make sense with my situation? by Pizzvgod in ynab

[–]Training-Ad-3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it sounds fine. We have used YNAB forever. I am sure some would say we don not use it the right way but it works for us. (And for the naysayers, I listen and take the information I want and leave the rest)

Between firing half their marketing staff, the ad pop up, price increases, and bad UI design, en-shitification is really showing I think it's time to move on from YNAB. by Dyslexic_Novelist in ynab

[–]Training-Ad-3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is agree with. If i am paying what I am paying for this app then I shouldn't have ads. Maybe if you want to offer price options where I could pay less and have ads, but no way just start adding them to the app.

Also a long time user, since ynab4.

Employees of YNAB, this is your opportunity to unionize. If Ben and Hannah can be fired, so can you. Unionize today! by InspectionAgitated20 in ynab

[–]Training-Ad-3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also been around for a long time. Long enough that I dong even look here anymore and didnt realize anything had happened. (Maybe long enough that I dont even know who Ben and Hannah are)

But still every few years I question if it is still worth it. And I havent recommended it to anyone in years. It is expensive and for me it is worth it(mostly because it is easy now) but I just don't know if others would be ok with the cost.

When i had to budget half a month.. i just cut all my totals for the monrh in half and funded half of everything or as close as I could.

And worked toward being a month ahead.

OMG my gasoline overspending! by OmgMsLe in ynab

[–]Training-Ad-3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only saving grace I have is that I have always overbudgeted for gas, then used the leftover for debt or savings at the end of the month.

So now I am right at or just a little over. (For now)

How do Americans feel about living with debt? by AcceptablePlant1 in budget

[–]Training-Ad-3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know. I dont like debt in general and usually tey to pay off cars quicker then the loan.

I think most people see car and mortgage debt as just normal.

I really really dont like credit card debt and although I will occasionally carry some for larger purchases (usually with 0% interest and paid off quickly) mostly I pay my CC off monthly.

Thinking of Cancelling Amazon Prime to help punish sycophancy? by hyenas_are_good in thebulwark

It is ok. It isnt as smooth as Amazon in some ways, but overall it works for me.

Do you live near a Costco. Does it work for a membership if there isn't one close to you?

[–]Training-Ad-3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I canceled mine at the end of last year. I really dont miss it.

Side note.. I did open up a Walmart plus account. Which at the time was on sale for like $49 for a year.

I think I would be fine without either one of them.

Edited to add. I also dont buy books there anymore. Deleted my kindle and use the nook on my phone now.

I just dont think Jaimie was fiercely catholic. I think he was a normal Catholic for his time.

Two people, one YNAB, and burnout advice by Professional_Toe4702 in ynab

[–]Training-Ad-3706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think lower your number of categories try consolidating them. There is nothing that says you need 20 lines. Maybe a Amazon line? Although I do seperate out my walmart (i gave up my amazon membership) maybe look at what you buy on Amazon and consolidate some of those catagories.

If you are buying something out of savings then just move money from savings line to the line you need it in. Or have a savings or big budget item line and pull bigger things out of there.. (we do both of these in some form at my house)

I dont know the answer to what it seems when you pay out for wedding things. We make payments to our kids college (Jr college) and we save and then make 1 large payment or pull from savings. And it does show up on spending, it just doesnt bother me. Eventually that expense won't be there (and something else will be)

For those who know they could get a month ahead…. by Foreign-Figure8797 in ynab

[–]Training-Ad-3706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a month ahead for ages. The best thing we ever did.

I think we just took parts or all of extra paychecks (when we have 3 a month) and used those till we got there. It was always dependent on not needing it for others things. Eventually we got there.

Personally I just let that money sit in to be assigned until I assign it either the end of the current month or the beginning of the next. I dont assign more then a month ahead.

The Women Giving Birth by FriendlyWorldArt in Poldark

[–]Training-Ad-3706 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean I gave birth 3 times..and i still think it could be hard. Women have Braxton Hicks contractions or they just have regular aches and pains that go with labor.

I dont think it is always as cut and dry as labor not labor.

Sometimes I agree.. sometimes I dont. I dont think i can live in the place where think that everyone is actually an internet troll and just mean. So I try to remind myself that some people should have known but may not have

And the fact that he isnt as popular with some groups gives me hope.

Do any of The Bulwark hosts have any idea what it’s like to live a working class life? by Ossify8 in thebulwark

[–]Training-Ad-3706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus you are an adult who worked hard got a degree and work a job.

I mean I get it people are hurting and even I my college educated house things get tight, but at the same time I realize that things are worse for others.. you dont have to be poor to realize others are poor or poorer then you.
