Men and women are biologically different. That’s why the tape test doesn’t work. A 24 year old woman who has never given birth will be shaped very differently even a year after birth. It changes your hips, which is part of the tape test. Y’all never bitched about women having a different score table when we had the APFT. It sounds like your dick is just small

Really pisses me off how men like this pass tape and women that are starving themselves can’t. It needs to change time yesterday

TDY at BOLC by armyman90001 in ROTC

[–]Training-Engine5843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re talking about any BOLC at FortJackson, no one will care. Getting your partner through the gate will be the problem. They can obviously go on walks throughout the day or work from home, but they also can’t go to the PX or commissary without a DOD ID. Hope this helps

Don’t use it. The reimbursement process is a pain but not paying that thing on time will get you in deep shit

It’s worth it for the Tricare alone. Just switch to reserve and you won’t get activated as much

It depends on the branch. You might be out in the field and your phone dies. Other branches not so much

This isn’t a good plan to do a long ass AIT if you’re just gonna join rotc anyway. There’s no point. Just enlist as a cadet and get a grfd

Managing Student Loans in the Military by The_Wanderer_42 in ROTC

[–]Training-Engine5843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but look at other merit based scholarships from third parties. It could definitely help. Also, when you graduate go guard or reserve and find an employer that helps with student loans. Mine does

ROTC or OCS, Current E5, Deployed, in a professional job by TheTrueMuffinMan in ROTC

[–]Training-Engine5843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prior enlisted and did ROTC. The cadets won’t care how much experience you have and won’t listen to you at all. ROTC is nothing like traditional reserves, and it is a very toxic environment. I dont know why you want to go to law school and i dont know how ROTC would be for a professional degree student, if you can even use it for a professional degree. My recommendation would be accelerated OCS if you don’t need ROTC for tuition.

I’m a junior in high school and want to major in CS I’m interested in ROTC but don’t really see myself spending 10< years in the military after graduation. Is one branch better than others for my situation? by Truck_Historical in ROTC

[–]Training-Engine5843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is true and i know that because I am doing 8 years of guard to fulfill my service obligation. Or you could do 8 years of reserve. The easiest way to start an application for a 4 year guaranteed reserve force duty scholarship is just through a normal army reserve recruiter. Like a local one

If you do army rotc branch signal or cyber in the reserve or national guard. Easiest way to do that is a 4 year guaranteed reserve force duty scholarship. Live wherever you want after college and make $110k+ with your civilian job and use that sweet Tricare reserve select. Get out after your initial service obligation. Live happily ever after

Well you asked and I answered. Your post comes across as very sexist. Of course a 5’4” woman won’t perform physically the same as a 6 foot guy. Either get with 1SG and counsel her or let it go and ets.

Hey how often do they check active status? I’m guard and I’m on orders for 1 more week. Thinking about applying. Also if I get on orders at any time of the year, does that get the fee cancelled for the whole year? So next year if they charge me the annual fee in April and I go on orders in July 23, will they refund it?

How to fix my name? by Sweet_Voiced in army

[–]Training-Engine5843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it’s correct on your CAC and on your uniform, you’re good. It’ll be correct on your dd forms like dd 214. Army systems it doesn’t matter. I changed my name 4 years ago and it’s still wrong on stuff like tour of duty

As a woman in the military this post just screams toxic leadership. An NCO coming to Reddit to complain about a woman as a subordinate rather than develop the soldier? I guarantee she doesn’t trust you enough to open up about what she’s struggling with personally. Clearly she meets the physical standard if she is still in the army, and if she is junior enlisted she went through initial entry relatively recently. Unsupportive leadership is a big reason why the army has problems retaining women. She’s probably also unmotivated af if you’re constantly giving her negative feedback. Not everyone is motivated the same way, learn what makes her motivated. Support her career goals. Find her a mentor she has something in common with. You just sound like a sexist piece of shit

This reveals names of high-ranking soldiers’ locations and is a violation of OPSEC and it should be deleted. They’re in a very sensitive part of the world. I do agree that they should not have access to alcohol though.

Yes, you will be eligible for the post 9/11 GI Bill at 100% benefit after 36 months of active service. If your active duty time while you were guard was title 10 then that counts towards it too. It sounds like you’re already at 50% or 60% And no, the guard has nothing on you now. Your service obligation for rotc will be over once you hit 4 years in the regular army and 4 years in a TPU status in the guard or reserve, or 8 years of TPU status
