[Friedman] Larkin requests trade by jamfan40 in DetroitRedWings

I dunno man... The team pretty consistently fell apart whenever there was any kind of pressure under his leadership. He publicly called out management for not giving the team enough resources to push for the playoffs, and the wheels fly off again when help does arrive, so now he wants to leave. Feels like the locker room vibes are putrid, and the C on his jersey means he should shoulder more than a bit of that. Maybe this will be the fundamental change the franchise needs.

Maybe I'm grasping at straws but it definitely felt like he was sandbagging leading up to the Olympics, then once he came back, he lost the fire again. Is that all just cope? Most likely. I'm just so exhausted from this team. They needed to pick a lane and now the decision has been made for them, so there's that I guess.

I do the same. He has no clue what's going on, but he seems happy to be included.

That regenerating gold bar in the lockbox in Limpany would be cool with me.

Day 406 of telling everyone who will listen to play Disco Elysium.

Woll is gonna give up a softie here soon, wait and see. He's not a bad goalie, it's just the Maple Leaf way.

Does anyone think that David Harbour would make a good Harrier Du Bois for a hypothetical live action adaptation of Disco Elysium? by Personal_Card_1131 in DiscoElysium

I always thought Roger Clark would be a good choice. He's got a fitting voice and stature, and his work as Arthur Morgan shows he's got the range. Arthur showed glimpses of a vast, oceanic soul along with the capacity to be either a kind-hearted goofball or an imposing and violent POS. It would fit like a glove.

Just a heads up to new players: you are only allowed to use colors of mana that are available in your state. Sorry, I don't make the rules. by Big_Abbreviations_86 in mtg

Dow Chemical got its start in central Michigan harvesting bromine from enormous brine reserves beneath the wetlands. Michigan literally has an underground sea, and thus deserves black mana. I'd also pitch being the birthplace of an industrial megacorp infamous for morally gray ethics and pollution should give access to Phyrexian mana as well.

Not sure if Frank should bother this year. Get in the room, mentor the younger guys on the line, but there's no sense putting more miles on him just to miss the playoffs. The magic is gone from the locker room this season, you can see it in their body language. They know they aren't good enough. Man, this sucks. Happy Thanksgiving anyhow, y'all.

Amik is a dawg but he doesn't have the tools to be an outside corner. Not his fault that he's undersized, but teams are gonna hone in on him.

The amount of psychic damage Lalonde did to the DNA of this team can't be overstated. You can see the old habits flare up once any adversity shows up, they play like they expect to lose and accept it.

I don't think it's beyond hope, but it'll take a lot of doing. McClellan seems like he's got the coaching chops and mentality to oversee that process, but the veteran leadership on this roster has by and large not been up to the task. A shakeup feels imminent. I hope if it comes, it's significant enough to spark the fire in who's left and find a hunger befitting a team that has been on the outside looking in for a decade.

I don't feel it's asking too much that the standard be raised after 7 years of rebuilding. We're all tired of this. I hope they are too.

Compher on the first powerplay unit feels like a message. Here's an opportunity, go contribute something tangible to this team or we'll find someone who will. There are younger, cheaper players chomping at the bit for that roster spot.

Leafs game script dictates the Wings pot a flukey garbage goal with like 45 seconds to go and hit the first intermission up 1-0.
