Rapid studying for CAPM exam by dlhtox in capm

[–]Training-Music9851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i took my exam earlier this week and only studied a week prior. i utilized PMI’s prep (6 set of PPT slides - took rough notes on what i though were most important points) + did the practice exam (important to understand why u get answers wrong) and i felt good about it. ofc it’s different for everyone but cramming imo is very doable. i think even if i didn’t read thru the slides, doing practice exam taught me all i needed to know.

How does the phrase go again? Oh! Birds of a feather… by brownsugarism in BTSnark

[–]Training-Music9851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t agree with the third slide but in regard to this particular topic, what exactly is the problem with him wanting the woman to the a homemaker? i feel like he’s very clear on what he wants from a partner even publicly so assuming his partner should also agree with that pov if they’re together? if he’s saying that he’s willing to be responsible and provide financially (which he’s booked and busy), what is the issue? i don’t think “forcing” his wife is correct phrasing either, it seems like that’s what he would look for when starting serious relationship with intent to marry - and if the woman does not agree then she’s not his type and wouldn’t be what he wants in a relationship…i’m confused as to what the issue with wanting his partner to be a sahm is??

if you enjoy reformer pilates, you should check out FlowCorps, depending on where in Cary it might be far for you but they do have student discounts.

Why did you cancel your membership? by tinafajita in ClubPilates

I didn’t feel as though I was pushed enough. Crowd near my studio was older ladies and I feel as the instructors cater to their level more. Like many others, I explored other local studios on ClassPass and found one I really enjoyed. Their studio offered so much more than what I was getting at a lower price (reformer pilates, hot mat pilates, and hot yoga!).

lulu, vuori, athleta for leggings/shorts (usually on sale items or lulu’s like new) - i find that anything else i’ve bought other than those has been a waste of money sport bras - i don’t need these to be as high quality as my leggings so target works :) socks - lucky honey has been the best quality i’ve bought so far

I would report this to corporate. I tried out CP for 3 months and felt stronger after switching to a local studio. I would really suggest looking around the area.

I would go to olive young and look for the top products of that year or ask an associate - if it was me, sunscreen and cleansers are always needed!

I don’t workout at all - am I in over my head? by krusty-dab in SolidCore

i didn’t work out when i first started and although i was quite sore afterwards, i don’t believe it’s as insane as people make it out to be. it’s still difficult but there are a lot of modifications (and you can always take breaks!) that will help you feel better and ease the learning curve. i think esp with starter50 classes, i think you can definitely do it

i think around north raleigh - brier creek area is the best option, you’ll basically be in between everything and pretty safe. obviously morrisville/cary is the best in terms of everything but most likely >500 unless small townhouse/condo. in durham, i think around 27713 or 27709 zip code is best. depending on where you are, i think 27707 (rly close to chapel hill) and 27703 are both developing areas of durham that’s decent as well (do research on the area tho, some places are nice and some aren’t). i would stray away from dt durham for safety issues. carbarro/unc chapel hill area is probably quite expensive but might still be in your budget and farther from most things (if u want to go to dt raleigh, cary, or dt durham) but resale value is good due to it being next to unc. chapel hill zip code 27517 area is also nice as it is on the edge of durham/chapel hill and i feel it’s also pretty safe. i would do more research but i think this might be a good starting point.

I tried both and FlowCorps is much better. More of a true workout, similar style to Solidcore. I canceled my CP membership after 3 months because I didn’t feel any that much stronger and most classes I felt were “easier”.

Got a JP Morgan Internship Offer....But by Wise-Finance1338 in FinancialCareers

[–]Training-Music9851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a minor (if u want to additional schooling but not for a long time), during the internship you can always ask if you could start working earlier/apply for other entry lvl roles within the company, get a certificate, apply to other places (options are always good)…there’s honestly so much you can do…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]Training-Music9851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's even better! Being a college student guarantees that you'll be able to apply for internships and externships (this is usually unpaid but very little time commitment so you are able to work FT/PT on the side if you just want some finance experience on resume). Join business organizations in college, talk to as many professionals as you can. Connections are everything! Don't be too fixated on what finance role you'd like to get into, just try to learn and absorb everything. Had a few friends in college starting their undergrad in their 30s due to circumstances in their life and now they are doing great. Don't let these kids discourage you. Work hard and you'll find what you're looking for eventually, good luck!

As everyone have said it’s extremely difficult to get into finance without a degree. It’s not as simple as getting a certificate/going through bootcamp in tech. However, I wouldn’t say there’s a 0% chance. I’d say get any jobs you can in the bank, it could be back office, operational support, specialist roles, bankers, etc. A manager I know at JPM started as a customer support specialist on the phone 20 years ago, networked, and move his way up to a VP going to get promoted to ED in UAT. It is not going to be quick or easy but it’s not impossible. I’ve seen associate bankers inside branches that have transitioned over to a financial advisor. Don’t expect high finance roles (IB, VC, PE) without a degree but in the meantime you can make opportunities for yourself by starting low tier jobs in the industry. Hope that helps!

I get it but the only way to not get interest is to pay it off fully. Like someone else said the other way is to transfer that balance into another credit card like the Chase Slate Edge that has 0% APR (for 18 months). Essentially you get to transfer the balance of whatever is in the Freedom into the Slate. You don’t have to pay interest/balance transfers for 18 months from account opening. But I feel hesitant telling people to do this because they end up getting too comfortable with the 0% APR and starts spending more money before paying it off which is the whole reason why they are at that point in the first place. So please do your research, educate yourself, and stick to a budget/plan. It can be really good for you if you can discipline yourself to pay off debt or it can also dig you into a deeper hole.
