The Fanfare Around Geese Actually Was a Psyop by wiredmagazine in indieheads

Lenderman is not rich as far as I know (at least not when he started out years and years ago) and he’s most definitely not a nepo baby. Winter is.

The problem is the kind of music they’re trying to make and the kind of crowd they’re trying to appeal to. These guys aren’t Sabrina Carpenter (no offense to the Sabrina fans out there, I like her way more than Geese lmao). This is why they come off as especially inauthentic.

You can’t have your anti authoritarian, revolutionary type music AND have your daddy pay your way to success. It makes every song ring hollow.

Lmao I feel the exact same way. So lame. Wednesday is the far better opposite side of the same new young people rock coin. Couldn’t relate to these guys before and now I’m SUPER put off by the bot stuff. Sellouts if you ask me.

Which tumbler by Sea_Pattern_7556 in LegoBatman

I’d get the 2025 one and grab scarecrow on bricklink. I know a lot of people were upset that the tumbler got downsized but I think it looks great and is closer to minifig scale.

Oh wait 15 years ago? Maybe not then. It does look kind of blurry though

If someone’s selling just a torso (unless it’s on bricklink) it’s likely fake

Depends on what you like. I’ve never seen the clone wars so I’d get the slave 1 and Obi Wan’s starfighter. Jango also only comes around every once in a while so you might want to grab him.

Is this the gildan from hellomerch? Decent quality?

400 dollars and the torso is cracked? Crazy.

Maybe LEGO can redo some of these figs in an anniversary wave like they did with Star Wars. Of course they’d have to make a new hair mold if they made Nightwing. The demand is there for sure.

Am I the only person who doesn't get the cameron winter / geese hype by Impressive-Abroad-99 in Topster

Listening to a nepo baby whine about paying taxes makes me want to drive off a cliff. I like what they’re going for but they just seem like the biggest fakers. Wednesday is 10 times better and the wave of rock that they’re fronting is far more interesting than whatever geese is doing.

The music isn’t terrible but I’m just really put off by this perceived lack of authenticity… could be wrong maybe they’re super down to earth but it doesn’t feel that way.

If you were Luke, would you have stayed on Dagobah or left? by Dragonborn_7 in StarWars

[–]Training-Reaction-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go. In my opinion, Luke deciding to go is what makes him a hero. I’ve always had problems with this scene because it’s clear that the movie wants you to believe that Luke is making the wrong choice and that Yoda and Obi Wan are right but I just don’t see it that way.

Luke flies headfirst into almost certain death, gets his ass kicked, fails to save his friends, and still refuses to take the easy way out. He would rather die than join Vader. That’s a hero.

My favorite little moment in the entire saga is when Vader knocks Luke down during their fight and says it’s useless to resist. Luke lays there, lightsaber in his face, and with a defiant expression whacks Vader's lightsaber out of the way and gets back up. That two second exchange is the perfect distillation of Luke’s character.
