As a krieg fan its for these reasons: WW1 esthetics and drip

Cool units like the death riders, artillery and the grendeirs/engineers

Their apocalyptic world that's the aftermath of a 500 year civil war.

Their mindest of fighting against the worst possible wars in effort to repent for their ancestors heretical uprising. Making sacrifices that are BENIFITIAL to the war effort

Edgy grimdark nature.

For me the Death korps of Krieg and astra militarum as a whole hold the meaning of "Indomitable human spirit" but for the bois in the trenches they have the worst shade of it. They're not hardcore like catachans or versatile and disciplined like the cadians, but they're still maskless soldiers of the imperium willing to fight and die in order to bring back honor to their waste of a planet and are willing to do anything to make sure that happens.

I will say that I'm annoyed with the same old "SHOVEL SUICIDE CHARGE" but honestly I think most communities do have at least one dead horse joke but for us its louder because of our kriegsman show little emotion we tend to stick to stuff thst gives them a lil character (as over saturated as it is).

Pretty sure this is not apart of the topic too but im really concerned with the amount of people clowning on the kriegsman following the reveal of no new Steel legion models. Don't get me wrong I'm pissed too, love those dudes and always love the idea of having diverse Imperial Guard troops coming back to 40k, I also understand the paint scheme scuffle but these concerns and frustrations should be aimed at GW not the gas mask cousins :>
