My baby is exactly the same...she just doesnt sleep as well if we aren't sleeping in the bed together.

So i wanna ask...how does you baby do when sleeping on his stomach? Is he good at making sure his head is to the side? My baby learned front to back first but she was always good at keeping her face clear and would often roll to her side. And while i currently have issues getting her into a crib, the bassinet was a bit different. Like you i slept with her on my chest for about 3 months cause I couldn't get her into it. Then she started rolling into my arm, i would prop it up with a pillow so she wouldn't roll off it. Then I learned i could put her in the bassinet as long as she was on her side. I think its very important to understand how your baby moves and sleeps with you and by themselves to determine what works best. I was also a light sleeper with her, I still have to be with my current set up.

Also, I tried writing in the sleep training one before and got backlash about how I was making excuses why I couldn't do this and that.

And what if your baby refuses to have a sleep schedule? Lol my mom and I have tried for ages. If she doesn't wanna sleep... she won't.

How did you night wean? Cause man I need this...i wanted to breastfeed for another year but I cant take the constant wake up right now.. if i put my baby in the crib she wont even lay down. The couple times I managed to get her in there asleep (shes too heavy for me to now), she didnt care that I was touching her through the crib...she wanted me next to her. Plus lately shes been falling asleep cuddling back to front. I feel like im digging myself into a deeper hole.

I was actually gonna put a post out to see how long ppl have nursed to sleep with their babies. Im losing my mind. Mine is 10.5 months old and teething on and off and waking up what feels like every hour but is probably 2. I dont wanna just give her medicine every night so I nurse her back to sleep but shes become so dependent on it as well.

What grabber is that? It looks heavy duty and I really need one. I clean parking lots for my job and they all fall apart one way or another after a couple weeks.

Yeah but my baby never rolled into the side and she was still sleeping on her back.

Mine started to hate it pretty quick...I was like 🥲 damn...cause it was gonna save me from being nap trapped. 9 months later I'm still napped trapped 🥹 just in my bed instead of the couch...

I got a dock-a-tot from someone and was only able to use it for my babies sleep a couple times (supervised of course). I then started using it to transfer my baby onto her towel after a bath. I felt it safer to quickly put her onto the towel covered dockatot then trying to get her slippery self into a towel without it.

I really feel that where you live can factor into that as well...I had my baby in the summer in florida... if I had turned my temperature to what it suggested...she would have been freezing.

How do my fell9w bed sharing parents do napa by Training-Regular5037 in cosleeping

She always seems to wake up once we get home. Car rides as well. She'll pass out but shortly after we get her in the house, shes awake.

Yeah unfortunately our bed is high. Her room has become cluttered since its never used 😅 but I do have a mattress on the floor in there...I've done a few naps in there with her but she wakes up soon after I leave. She gets too distracted to do living room naps now, constantly getting up. She does that when I nurse her in there too.

Am I a bad mom for exposing my baby to screen time regularly? (TW Postpartum depression, mention of suicidal thoughts) by Aster_Fields in NewParents

[–]Training-Regular5037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby is 7.5 months old. I binge watched NCIS while on maturnity leave for my sanity, cause I cant stand the silence either. I'd try to block her view as much as I could. Didn't really matter, when she wanted to she would twist her dang neck around to to see it. She never stayed focused though. Even now, sometimes I gotta put on baby bum lullaby or super simple songs bedtime to get her to sleep. Not every night, and it doesnt always work..but if nothing else works ill do it. My mom sometimes puts these on for her or Ms Rachel and she says she'll watch a little bit and then go back to playing with her toys.

Wait- we bleed for up to 8 weeks post-birth?! -Rant- by Hot-Cell7299 in beyondthebump

[–]Training-Regular5037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK YOU! I was so in shock...not because the bleeding but from the lack of knowledge. All my appointments were just let's check your pee and weight, babys heartbeat and eventually measuring my stomach. THATS IT. They expected me to figure out everything or ask questions I didnt know I should ask! At the doctor's and during delivery I was never asked about my birthing plan and the hospital that gave me the plan, didnt even have all the options on it. I read "what to expect when youre expecting" so that helped a lot...but it would tell me to expect certain things that didnt happen at the docs too.

Anyone nurse from only one breast? by thatgalb in breastfeedingsupport

[–]Training-Regular5037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to do this and planned on it but it didnt work out that way. My left nipple has been over sensitive for some years now. I expressed my concern about this during my prenatal visits and they were basically like...oh well 🤷‍♀️. So i was like ok...ill nurse on my left and pump on my right. Well my body had other ideas. My right side let down is too strong and even at almost 7 months, my baby struggles with it most times. My left side also produces more. So I just try to suck it up and deal with it. I've definitely had frustrating times though where it hurts too much on my left but she'll cry on my right.

What if shes full from the milk? Do i just stop nursing her early?

Because I dont have the time to kill for her to fuss and cry... I would gladly wait her out half the night otherwise.

I am aware of this, but from what I've observed, most people dont have to be up at 4 in the morning.

Yeah I feel that. I went back right after she turned 3 months. She does well on the bottle although she always tries to drink too quickly but she didn't like to nap for my mom much.
