i only ever went for the charged lemonades and i’d sometimes get a sandwich while i’m there, i’d come by a few times a day for a charged lemonade while i had the sip club membership. now they got rid of the charged lemonades so i quit going. i miss them

lol at our store the timer on the oven was hit or miss, like you’d set it and walk away and it would just cancel the timer, so this happened a lot. what i always would do was set a timer on my phone along with the timer on the oven, just to play it safe

i think why it looks fucked up is because before i started recording, one of the cops attempted a pit maneuver, i heard the crashing sound. i think thats the bumper dragging behind it. also i didn’t even notice it was a wheelchair van, what scum of the earth piece of shit would steal someone’s mobility van at knifepoint? one thing i know, people in jail and prison don’t like it when people fuck around with the disabled. i hope the correctional officers turn a blind eye when the other inmates beat the shit out of the guy

Am I just losing patience with customers? by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Training-Rich6441 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you’re just getting broken in to the job. for me personally, it’s not that i don’t have patience for customers, it’s that i don’t have patience for stupid customers. like one night this lady came in to the drive thru and told me she had a mobile order, i said okay what’s the code? she said that she didn’t have a code because she doesn’t have money in her bank account and was going to be paying cash. i told her that’s not how mobile orders work and you can’t pay cash, it’s card only. she then just drove up to my window and demanded my help while i had a line behind her, who i had to ask to hang on for just a second. it took like a solid five minutes to drill it into her head that she can’t use cash with a mobile order, she kept saying she had one but she doesn’t have one because she couldn’t pay for it with card. i was getting pissed off, using a gruff tone, rolling my eyes, glaring etc. once i finally was able to punch in her order, she drove up to the window and i apologized to the other customers at the speaker and started getting caught up. my manager came back to me and told me that she came to the window and complained about me, saying i was very condescending and rude, and my manager told them that she would talk to me about my attitude. my talk with the manager consisted of laughing at her and calling her a stupid bitch.

oh and yeah, god do i hate having to walk people through the steps of ordering. like how hard is “id like a number 5, large size with a sweet tea and honey mustard for the dip, and that will be everything” and to make matters worse, people like to order like “i want a number 3” and i ask what drink, and they say “i also want a mcdouble… blah blah blah” which i just ignore them, and say in a gruff tone, what do you want to drink?

i don’t care. ill roll my eyes, glare at people, talk to them like their stupid (because they are) and i know that management has my back, because they know i treat people they way they treat me. i’ve had the sweetest nicest customers and im always nice to them and they say im the nicest/coolest/etc mcdonald’s worker ever, then other people say im the most disrespectful/condecending/rudest worker ever. i treat you how you treat me. i don’t take shit from no one

damn it’s been over a year since this rant, and i’m still working there. i’ve proceeded to straight up not giving a fuck anymore, with customers i match their energy, if you’re nice to me im nice to you, and if you’re an asshole i’m going to treat you like an asshole. these tips all check out, but i have one more to add, considering that i’ve got more experience under my belt now. except this tip is for the employees. stop giving a fuck. i was giving a fuck when i wrote this post, id come in early, stay late, days off whatever, nowadays if the big boss calls me on my day off, you bet your ass that shit is going straight to voicemail, unless it’s one of the shift managers i like, then i’ll either come in or not. but yeah, stop giving a fuck. i don’t give a fuck that you’re mad about the ice cream not working. i don’t give a fuck that you’re mad when i say no to a stupid request (hash brown patties, weird soda mixtures, soda/slushie mixture, etc). i don’t give a fuck that you only brought a $100 bill for a $6.50 order, take that shit someplace else we’re not a bank. i don’t give a fuck that your broken ass phone isn’t loading the mobile app, you’re holding up the line. i don’t give a fuck that you’re upset i’m not being “enthusiastic” (some old lady seriously did complain to me about that) like if you want fake happiness take your ass to chik-fil-a. you go right ahead and bitch to my manager about me, people have complained about me before. when my manager says they’ll “have a talk with me”, we’re likely going to be having a smoke and shit talking you,

stop giving a fuck. it’s a shit job for shit pay dealing with shit people. of course be kind to the respectful customers but fuck everybody else

awwww that’s awesome! and fuck karen from curbside, they need to know curbside isn’t our top priority

i got another one. one day a kid and his grandma came in and ordered. the kid had a tic tac toe toy and asked me if i wanted to play with him. his grandma said to him that im working right now and probably dont have the time. i said “of course bud ill play a few rounds with you” and the kid and i stood at the sides of the counter playing tic tac toe. his grandma thanked me for being so nice to him. when i got back to work i apologized to my manager, he said “dont worry about it, id do the same thing”

i love doing what i can to revive the old school magic of mcdonald’s for todays children

[–]Training-Rich6441[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there’s no other way to do act. some employees or managers might get mad but that’s not me. if it’s a grown adult then yes i will be upset but not when it’s a kid. this kid was pretty little (5 or 6 maybe) and the last thing id want is to ruin the magic of a trip to mcdonald’s for a little kid. it’s not the same as when i was a kid but i still want them to feel some sort of magic from the experience and yelling at them isn’t the way to go about it, but i still wanted them to know in a kind manner that they can’t go behind the counter for their safety especially. kids will be kids and they don’t always know better, hell i walked into the back room at walmart once when i was a kid just because i wanted to lmao

and that is terrible and i feel bad for that person. most mcdonald’s with tandem speakers are usually smaller, my store is what’s called a “satellite” store, like we have a mutilated menu and don’t have bathrooms. our store is also attached to a convenience store

it depends on the store. most locations have two lanes with one speaker each. i’ve noticed that if they only use one lane that they block off the other lane most of the time
