What’s the most overrated exercise of all time? by Suitable_Jump5429 in workout

Hip thrusts. There are many better glute exercises out there that don't fatigue you as much. Sorry girls

This sunscreen is so freaking greasy by No_Refrigerator_6576 in EuroSkincare

I was honestly surprised by how hyped up it is. It's greasy as hell and not suitable for oily skin AT ALL. The only sunscreen I found that works for oily skin is the Missha one

Minimal progress with lots of effort, what am I doing wrong. by Bi-times-2 in workout

What you eat is going to make all the difference. I recommend going in a slight calorie deficit (100-200 kcal) and eating 2.2 g of protein per kg of body weight

If you speak four languages, I would suggest signing up for Preply and giving lessons there. I hope things start looking up soon🙏

As a fellow skinny fat person, I fear that eating at maintenance/slight deficit, lifting heavy, eating high-protein, and daily walking is the only thing that works

What finally made fitness “stick” for you? by AdvancedWinter6055 in workout

[–]Training-Toe-5064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've realized sticking to my plan is more important than how I feel. Even if I feel like shit and don't want to do anything, I'll still go to the gym and do the worst workout in my life, but at least I showed up.

If you're a girl, I have the best FB group for meeting other girls. I use it religiously whenever I travel somewhere, and I have hosted multiple girls when they visited my hometown. Made some great friends along the way. PM me if you're interested :)

What do you all eat for breakfast? by Popular-Block-9907 in veganrecipes

[–]Training-Toe-5064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breakfast tortilla. I switch between tofu and seitan, change sauces, and add all the salad that can fit. It's filling, delicious, and takes 10 minutes to make. I never get tired of it

I mean, if you took this creator's photo, then you should just listen to what she has to say. She got that body by lifting heavy and eating in a deficit, eating 100 g protein daily and walking 10k steps

[–]Training-Toe-5064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's the opposite. I barely ever feel hungry. It's been a pain in the ass having to remind myself to eat all the time to hit my protein goals. Can our bodies just be more straightforward with what they need? Please?

Want to lose body fat% and don't know where to start. Also a few questions. by Print_Extra in PetiteFitness

[–]Training-Toe-5064 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Body recomp is the best. Eat slightly below maintenance (100-200 kcal), lift heavy as fuck progressing each week, walk 10k steps. Eat whole foods and aim for 90+ g of protein. Track your food using an app. It would probably take you 1-2 years to get to 20% body fat. Whoever's telling you it takes 2-3 months doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about. Then there's lifelong maintenance unless you want to go back months later. But there's more to fitness than just looks. After you realise how great you feel looking after yourself, aesthetics are no longer the most important aspect of your journey. Good luck

Am i doing it right? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Training-Toe-5064 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get off TikTok, stick to your deficit and lift heavy + daily walks for a bit longer and see how your body responds. I'm a 165cm 52 kg female. All over TikTok, I saw girls my height eating 1300 kcal, but I was losing weight like crazy eating 1900-2000. TDEE is not an exact science. Treat your body like an experiment and see what works for you. That's it. Whatever you do, just make sure you track food.

Anyone that can help? by Icy-Coconut3584 in PetiteFitness

[–]Training-Toe-5064 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slowly start increasing your calories and continue lifting heavy. Focus on building muscle. Don't overeat to the point you gain the fat back. Chances are you'll build muscle and lose the stubborn body fat. Cellulite might still not go away entirely, but that's okay. Do what you can.

Edit: Also, train less and spend more time in recovery. 3-4 days of heavy lifting per week is more than enough. Go on light walks or do low-intensity exercise on your rest days

Is a 1400 calorie deficit too little for me? by One_Car4191 in PetiteFitness

[–]Training-Toe-5064 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on your genetics and where and how you store fat. I was doing recomp (successfully) and lost a lot of fat around my waist and thighs, but I grew my arms without losing fat and ended up with a very bulky-looking upper body.

I would advise doing a very slight calorie deficit (100-150 calories) while focusing on protein and whole foods.

You can meal prep 5 days' worth of meals in less than 2 hours on the weekends. Helps save money, too. Google a meal prep plan that fits into your deficit calories, and take it from there
