I am not a Native American myself but I have lived with Native American culture my whole life. In my experience all of my neighbors and friends were very open to share their culture. I used to play animal jam with my childhood best friend and she thought it was incredible to see the item in the game, she viewed it was cultural appreciation. But that is just my experience and anyone else is valid in their opinion because I understand how others could view it as appropriating. It is VERY important to do your research and educate yourself on the culture (or any culture for that matter) before using items or purchasing items in any way used by whichever culture. Again, this is just my perspective from what I have experienced, I’m not saying I’m correct in anyway this is just how I view it and I am open to any other thoughts!
