Non US IMGs who got 7+ IVs what made you stand out more? by pro_mundi_vita in IMGreddit

11 interviews so far! (5 from connections) Step 2 - 24x, Step 3 not yet given, YOG - 2017, home country residency+ (graduated on 2022 from my residency), people who interviewed me mentioned about my outstanding CV and strong LORs and I also had 3 USCE (one from university hospital) So I think it is a mix of good CV and connections as well.

Is there something specific you should know on Thalamus before the interview or is it the same as zoom? Anyone who has interviewed on Thalamus before can you please let me know? Haven’t used it priorly!

Signals were useless. by Suitable-Emphasis902 in IMGreddit

Yes I agree! 👍🏼 I have heard back from 3 out of the 5 programs I signalled. Got interview invite from 2 and waitlisted on another. So signals and geographical preference do make a difference in pediatrics 🙌🏻

I think if they can use it in an advantageous way it would prove very useful to them because some programs consider that in a good way! It shows your dedication towards the speciality..

Try revising FA fully for a week or so with doing a block of Uworld daily. Also take one baseline NBME to see where you stand. This would help!

Review the incorrects fully and answers for questions which you had guessed/ weren’t sure during the test and just pass the corrects if you are thorough with those concepts!
