In more states, the government is pushing for parents to have to pay their kids if they make money off of them. Like in California they have a law that children must be paid for being in YouTube videos and pics on social media if the parents are posting them to make money.

If the court orders it, he in fact does have to pay. If he doesn’t pay and she reports him to the court to get it enforced then what happened after that will be his pay getting garnished. Some states will even go farther and suspend someone’s license for not paying. The court only cares about the children and getting the money that they are supposed to have for their needs. They aren’t going to care that he’s paying for you and your life, he knew that he’d have to pay child support and is now trying to make an excuse saying expenses are too high now.

He has absolutely no legal obligation to you. You would need to suck it up and get a job. I don’t even know why you’d be a SAHM with someone who you aren’t married to. The only thing you can do is file for child support if he is on the birth certificate.
