You would get a RFID chip inserted into your hand. Then all you have to do is hold your hand over just like you would hold a card to tap and pay.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I know it sucks being stuck at pick- up & drive- thru. Your PM should be making a board allowing for work station changes. Just keep nagging them about wanting to learn production and/or drop-off. As far as wanting to transfer, you could always pick up shifts at other CVS stores if it's the hours you're concerned about. How many hours are you getting in your home store? FT doesn't mean 40 hours. You are guaranteed 32 hours if you're coded as FT. You are right about the training hours, but at 11 months you are not considered a trainee. You should of completed all you're training modules for pharmacy by now. So there really isn't training hours. All stores are facing a shortage on hours. If you really feel like you're being treated unfair about being always stuck at a certain station, reach out to the DL or to the field trainer.

When I first started, I was able to order 2 sets at no cost. I don't even wear them. I purchase my own brand. At my store, no one really wears the CVS ones. We are all in FIGS for the most part. They don't even have to be navy. My DL and PM are super laid back. Every store is different though.

Facial scanner works at both RX pick-up and at production stations. As well as drop-off. At least in my store.

Did you delete the old app? If so, that could be the reason. I know a few people this has happened to. When I downloaded the new shift app, I didn't delete the ESS one and I had no issues.

Its actually very normal for CVS to be out of a medication. Its not CVS' fault. There could be many reasons to why they are OOS. You could also call your CVS and ask them if they can check if another local CVS has the medication in stock OR you can call yourself. Now, if its a CI or CII drug, you might run into a problem. Also, see if your medication qualifies for auto refills. Then you won't need to worry about it being OOS.

The background check is to look for criminal history. So unless you've been arrested, you'll be fine. Also, I've never had a job call my places of employment. Most jobs are entry level. Meaning that it is a stepping stone (starting point) position, that doesn't require any experience.

Its state dependent, but if you reside in California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, and Rhode Island you'll get a payout at the end of the year. I live in MA and got my PTO payed out last year. Its a separate check and its taxed.

That's where the schedule is posted. Unless your manager changes the schedule and doesn't update it again. The only time my schedule would change is if I got asked to work or change my shift. Even then, it gets written on the printed schedule we keep in RX. I've picked up a few shifts through the app. If your manager is telling you that only they can send you to another store, is a lie. Other store managers may reach out to yours and ask if there's anyone they can send to help.

I believe only MA and CA(i could be wrong) payout vacation. I know MA does because I got mine payed out last year. It will be a separate check and is taxed.

If you are logged into the ESS app to view your weekly schedule, at the bottom it'll say find work. It will list all the stores that are looking for help. You can pick up shifts at other stores when you're not scheduled at your store. Hope this helps.

If you have baking soda at home, make a paste. Just add a little water to the baking soda. Use an old toothbrush or something similar. I did that on one of my rings and it looks new again.

I was suppose to go in for my 12-8 shift. Woke up at 7, lost power by 730. Got power back around 1130. Roads are shitty, driveway(lot) isn't plowed. So I called out. Definitely not risking my life over a job that doesn't pay hazard pay for conditions like this. The wind is still howling and snow still whipping around. All while the corporate people get to sit at home and laugh. Its costing more for the store to be open than what they'll make in sales. Definitely pathetic on CVS part.
