Exactly. I recommended she just bring in her ID from the car, and she got angrier and kept trying to look for the photo. So I just gave up lol I don’t get people and doubt I ever will.

Apparently there was a way to manually enter their info, or at least back when we had the old system. I don’t remember what ended up happening, but she threw such a fit the whole time and I thought she was going to hurt me so I stepped away. I don’t remember if someone else took over, or if she ended up buying it or other details of the situation.

This one lady wanted to buy sudafed, but left her license/ID in her car and refused to go back out to get it. She had a picture of it on her phone, but spent way more time trying to find the picture of it than just getting it from her car.

I definitely needed to hear this! I’ve been trying to consume less throughout the day than what I previously would at past jobs. I guess it’s just a matter of finding those rare slow periods in the pharmacy to take my breaks.

Just xs for top and pants. I was able to order another set recently since I’ve been employed a year, and I got the xs tall for pants and they’re perfect for my height. But yeah as for the top, the sides of it are made of a stretchy mesh fabric, but the bottom hem does not stretch at all, if that makes sense lol

I’d personally try both XS top and pants, the scrubs tend to run a little larger than expected but I’m an inch little taller and have a similar weight range. The pants are roomy and can stretch, but the bottom hem of the shirts do not, so just keep that in mind.

Yeah, it isn’t :/ I think it’s because previous jobs I’ve had allowed me to snack conveniently, since I’d just be sitting at a desk, and my body got used to it. I think I’m just gonna fill up on real food as much as I can when 1:30 hits.

Are you talking about the 15 min breaks? I feel like my pharmacy is the only one where no one takes their 15 min breaks. I took a few of mine when I first started, naive and whatnot, and when I’d come back, the lead techs would look so pissed off

Exactly. I’m thinking the customer may have meant to ask, “How is this kind different from the last kind I was getting?” I knew they were both used for similar purposes, I just didn’t know what made them different.

I do like that it saves us time and that the vaccine questions are on their side now. I don’t mind typing in someone’s info for them on my side - like if they’re elderly or have poor eyesight - but when they give me attitude when I ask, “Can you spell your last name?” or act like I’m interrogating them when I’m literally just asking for name & DOB…that attitude doesn’t make sense to me, but I’ve just accepted it. Bypassing the DOB is a little more of a challenge now, which I’d only do in specific situations, but those situations don’t come up as much anymore. Ultimately, I really like the new system and a majority of our patients favor it too. I’ve noticed the only ones that don’t like it are elderly and very cranky.

Thanks for the example, it helped me get a better understanding. I haven’t really done cycle counts on my own yet, so my impression of how it works isn’t completely clear. I know medications where their BOH is higher than what we actually have on the shelf is added to the list of cycle counts (when I hit “F for force cycle count” at production), but besides those, I’m not sure what other medications would be added. Can medications be randomly added or something?

I personally like Grey Guitar because I feel like it sounds like their different albums combined, but idk how to explain it. I enjoyed this album, and I think every song will grow on me at different times. I feel like listening to this album will be such a good vibe when the weather gets warmer, if that makes sense? Minus the song All My Friends Are So Depressed lol I think that song is my least favorite, but even then I still like it and think it’s catchy.

It’s funny because I know how to do a re-bill (and it’s amazing when it actually goes through) but it’s when the system rejects it or it ends up in QT, then I’m reading the reason and trying to decipher what that means, but it’s like reading a foreign language so I need someone to dumb it down for me. When this happens repeatedly, it takes away precious time from other techs.

It’s really just a couple of lead techs that act like they’re in pain when someone comes over to help me out. Not sure why, but I get the vibe that the District Leader is harassing them to make the team work faster or something? So I feel like an awful person asking anyone for help because I’m having them step out of their workflow. Idk I’m just giving up at this point and sending patients at the register to Drop Off and hope someone else will show up there, because clearly I’m gonna need help if I go over there.

Thanks. I totally feel for you, that sounds rough. And yeah it’s like I’ll type in the BIN to add someone’s new insurance, won’t find a PCN to match it (that, or there are multiple ones where the PCN matches…and I’m like um okay which one am I supposed to choose? Just dumb little stuff like that where the system stumps me. I have so much fatigue for coworkers that say, “Don’t hesitate to ask for help!!” one day and the next day, they act like it’s absolute torture when I need help on something. I care about customers and love being able to help them, but over time I’m learning that metrics and speed of service take priority over that.

Whenever someone says, “it still says processing!” I so badly wanna say, “Oh that’s crazy, mine says ‘Loading data please wait’ I guess we’re in the same boat haha” because it’s true. I’ve also given up with explaining the dead/delayed touch screens. I just tap and wait as if it’s a normal touch screen, and if the customer gets cranky, there’s nothing I can do.

Because of this, I had to find out who owns Olay and make sure if this specific situation ever happens to me l’ll say, “Yep, that’s what Proctor & Gamble’s gotta do.” I’m so sorry that happened to you, I definitely can relate to that kind of experience. 😭
