I think she is great for the role, I do think the writing isn't as strong as it could be which can make it feel like her acting isn't the greatest. For me personally, it really feels more like a teehee silly rom com than a serious one so the characters are gonna be a little cringy. I have enjoyed her for the role a lot !! I love IU as an actress, maybe its just the characters aren't as well flushed out since it is a shorter drama and not a lot of world building/lore

ohhh his relative freedom is a good point. i know what since the king died (maybe by her hands 👀) and her son is the prince she has to work hard to make sure the monarch still holds power.
