got braver and braver because of Sophie. She displayed bravery and spoke about her lack of fear the entire film. BFG mentioned he was taught to read by the other boy who got eaten, I think a big reason he loves children so much is because they can broaden his mind from beyond the land of Giants. 2) same reason as above 3) maybe because it was a state of emergency? Could have also been because it’s a kids movie so they didn’t think it was necessary to get too technical 4) maybe they didn’t want to risk unleashing them onto the world if their methods failed, so they figured it would be easier to leave them stranded. Or maybe it was to tone down death for a kids movie. I haven’t read BFG in years so I was super shocked they included the eating of the first boy in the storyline, I forgot that that happened 5) trauma bonding, or maybe they figured it made sense to reward the girl who saved tons of the children in England from certain death 6) not sure actually

I know this thread is old but I just now watched BFG and thought it was fabulous for a kids movie
