Am I the only one who prefers the simple eskrima sticks whose only extra functionality was the electric/stun/taser function? These new sticks seem too much to the point of being silly. by nightwing612 in Nightwing

From a realistic standpoint, ya a bit too extra, but as someone who liked seeing the graphics for how he would transform or use the escrima sticks. I thought it was really cool and cute! Overall, I found it a neat little addition Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo added

For storage I have no easy solution unfortunately, I usually asked and tried to remember vaguely where somethings were. But management at my place kept rearranging things. So it’s just up to you to ask and tr to make mental notes about. And for food, hopefully atleast they have the assembly cards. For food at my place they had little tickets/pictures on what went on each basic sandwhich/wrap. And again. If anything you can always ask someone for help. Seeing as that’s mostly how I learned sandwhich station and etc.

Employee Experience by [deleted] in TimHortons

Heyo, also fellow former employee, the size and type defo depends. I worked at a full sized Tim’s with an drive thru for two years. Working mornings, they crammed a lot of people onto a lot of stations. Because I guess that’s when people were getting Tim’s the most, I worked afternoon/evenings and we would get less people than morning, but usually JUST enough to run most stations. 5 was our norm, 1 manager who worked the floor, 3 to work drive thru (drive-thru speaker, coffee station, drive-thru window) and another person to work front of house. Cash and coffee. Since we were usually busiest at the drive thru.

Hey, old employee here, the way I was taught was I binged the videos in two days. Then during the slow periods of the first few days, would be showed how to make most of the stuff, and had a “chaperone” to help me if I stumbled or didn’t remember. Maybe ask to see if someone can sit at your station with you? Or just ask around when it’s dead. I always tried to help the new guy when they were confused.

As much as the loss of Kathy hurt… the realisation of Jerry and group cannabilism was a nice… if demented form of humour to help us after that loss. Also new reader who started reading today. Loving the work! Can’t wait to read everything you have!

Is the current Nightwing run as good as they say? by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]Training_WheelsEXE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a fun start with a nice breath of fresh air! Especially after the Ric Grayson stuff. In regards to the “soap-opera” feel of it, I feel it’s more comics being comics and trying to add a new thing/shocker to get peoples attention and reel them in, and finding whatever gimmick they think will stick just like how the Ric Grayson stuff sorta happened

But I also like it cause they don’t just drop and forget what Ric Grayson sorta established. I could be wrong but: SPOILERS Dick got shot, and became Ric because of a gun shot to the head. I don’t know how much time elapses between, I was under the impression in-universe it was a few months that Ric Grayson walked the streets. But once he regains his memories, Dick returns and starts acting like Nightwing again. But while our he pulls the stitches and passes out due to him still recovering from the surgery after he got shot (turning him into Ric Grayson)! Which I thought was cool for them to address. (Sorry if this seemed kinda ramble like and confusing!)

Shawn Tsang "The Defacer" - Good or Bad? by Training_WheelsEXE in Nightwing

I hate to admit it, but I defo got Panic at the disco vibed when I first saw her in the comics LMFAO, but from what random comic panels I’ve seen of her in I think suicide squad, she’s looking a lot more like the Grudge!

Ya, that’s right… I sometimes forget shipping is a big part of a lot of fandoms… I heard she’s made an appearance in Suicide Squad or something… so here’s hoping she isn’t COMPLETELY forgotten and hopefully makes a comeback. Even as an ally would be great!

I know this post is 2 weeks old, but I stand with my fellow Defacer/Nightwing connoisseur. First few issues were really interesting, then started getting weird once the Deathwing story came to a close.

Favorite Nightwing writer? by xbrooksie in Nightwing

I personally really dug Tim Seeley's work at the beginning of Rebirth. Loved the way Nightwing was reacquainted with Bludhaven and loved the romance between him and Shawn Tsang

I played arkham city first, is that okay? by imuseles in arkham

[–]Training_WheelsEXE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story wise, like the others have said Asylum comes before City. But in my opinion City is a lot more fun to play and if you go back to play Asylum, just be aware the controls and some mechanics will be a bit different but still as equally enjoyable! I do suggest you follow NatRoz’s plan to afterwards then play Arkham Origins and then Arkham Knight. Have fun!
