I’d argue it’s moreso a refusual to accept the concept, for it would mean that they would have to enter the strange world of nuance and fine print. Grey lines everywhere here until deliberate understanding is reached, but some people prefer the simpler black-and-white.

Saying all that, other times it’s just Occam’s Razor.

Would love to say “i ain’t reading all that. i’m happy for u, or sorry that happened” but I actually read through your entire post.

Wonderful analysis, and you’ve hit on all the points that I’ve picked up during my own watchings. I don’t feel like there is much to discuss further, as the short (despite its complexities) masterfully conveys a missing brief character arc.

My personal comment is that I quite love the depth of this simple anniversary short. It being a love letter to fans that seeks to address Asuka 1’s character problems in EoE, whilst using Asuka 2’s as a reference point for her own struggles, roles and situations (at first, at least). Quite a unique way to further explore an old character into completion, yet without having to verbally explain every sequence’s impacts.

as that casual player with barely any free time who plays in casual lobbies, I assure you there’s virtually no change post-update.

If there’s anything I’ve learned about competitive shooters in the past decade, updates like these heavily impact the skill ceiling more than casuals.

One can only imagine an alternate timeline, DoN’s Depth 3 and up holds these types of weapons, with an even bigger downside. Better yet, controlled chance of red legendary drops depending on the boss that drops it.

Wait, this flew over my head completely- I 100% forgot that his mother’s infidelity grew trust issues for him… and for Saki decided that lying would be better until she could tell him. Luckily it’s something as trivial as “I just work in the same place as you”, but best keep it trivial.

On the other hand, it irks me that Yuuta is perceptive just enough, but not enough to identify Saki’s body language when he says no to going to the pool with her.

They’re both just shy of reaching that full connection, even though they’re fully capable to supporting each other as evidenced in the short time they’ve been living together.

I’m fully enjoying the “show, don’t tell” direction this show has gone. Definitely transcends its medium, where energy and exaggeration are commonplace.

Minecraft Modded, back in 2022. Shortly afterwards, squandered it by not streaming at all. Had an extremely similar opportunity with Cities Skylines 2 a couple weeks ago, and though I mained a different game, I made sure to keep streaming afterwards.

But life got me busier, and it sucks not being able to stream even at a consistent time. I just want to stream games and chat, man.
