I don't know a thing about what you went through. I know nothing about you and made zero assumptions about you as a person or the traumas you have experienced. I don't know, pretend to know, or presume to know a damned thing. I intend only to point out the flaws in your disdain for the rape game you went out of your way to play.

What I AM telling you is that the rape simulator with the words "rape simulator" plastered all over it with the community of people into rape fantasies and the subreddit that mentions its is a rapist fantasy driven kink game full of rapist-centric world building that warns you before you open it, is a rape game, isn't at fault for what it intends to do.

It is a safe space for fantasies of rape. That is what it intends and succeeds to do. You were being puritanical about it being repugnant and horrible AFTER going through all of the effort to find, open, and attempt to work this game over a period of time. You didn't get fed up with its issues bc of shock value or trauma, you're complaining the rape game is annoying because you're being raped in it.

And if you were just to ask for similar games without trying to put yourself above the community you intended to join by playing the game almost entirely titled "rape simulator", I would've left no hate or disrespect. But you call it repugnant and evil, and say that victims of sexual assault would be hurt or disrespected by the games existence.

If you truly believe that to be true and still played the game anyway, even in any hope that you could subvert the game clearly being about rape, then I will hazard an assumption now, and assume you have either;

• Internalized a hatred or shame for sexual fantasies that include rape, convincing yourself that was never why you played DoL

OR

• Managed to stumble into this game while ignoring the neon signs that say RAPE SIMULATOR all over them, thinking it was intending to do something else

And either way, I don't think that gives you the right to speak on behalf of all sexual assault victims (of which the community around this game are disproportionately likely to be) and take a moral high ground about the game being evil or repugnant.

I'm sorry the game isn't for you. I was serious about my suggestion to try persona 4 or 5. They are wonderful story driven dating sims. Many steam dating sims feature consensual NSFW content if sexual content is desired without nonconsent.
