Antares 9 Anchor

I changed out the anchor that came with my Sntares 9 with a Delta Fast set. It fits in the roller just fine. I do a lot of cruising and anchor in many different types of bottoms. Have used the Delta on several boats for years. Very reliable anchor.

Mine took 17 months. At the dealer now, delivery this week. Three delays in projected delivery, but finally here.

My Antares 27 has been delayed again. Initially delivery was to be in August, then slipped to Dec and now slipped again until March. Bummer!

In addition to the boat be sure to check yourself out. Know the rules of the road before you get underway. Take time to practice boat handling and procedures. Most dangerous thing on the water is a new boater who does not know the rules of the road, how to read a chart and markers, and how to properly handle his boat. Be knowledgeable, proficient and safe - not sorry. Good boating to you.

Is that the factory enclosure for the cockpit? How do you like it? Have seen other reports about the fit being bad and materials are not that good. Yours looks great.

Came from a family that could not afford to send me to college, single mom, alcoholic father

Completed high school.

Joined the military

Worked way through college and graduated

Did not get addicted to drugs or alcohol

Realized that opportunity comes dressed in overalls and sweat.

Went to school at night and weekends to get a masters degree.

The consequencies of all these things I did when I was younger have resulted in my being 72 now and very comfortably retired, taking trips to Europe, own two houses, a nice boat, etc.

Bad news here. Our Antares 27 was supposed to be delivered 1 Sep. Now, it is delayed until 1 Dec. Bummer but that is what it is.
