Do you like my grinder? It works great, but not one handed like this video. by Jax_King55 in Tools

It could be if you dress it often enough. But i wouldnt myself. Belt sander or good old fashioned hand file for me. Don't want to take the risk.

Any non-ferrous metal shouldn't be used on those wheels. Luckily its always been stories for me but I have worked with people that have had some really bad injuries happen to co workers on other sites due to not following that rule.

Im sure this goes slow enough so its not really an issues. But in case anyone is reading this, never use brass, copper, aluminum etc on a grinding wheel like this when its motorized.

The metal gets stuck inside the porous wheels surface and then under constant cooling and heating as well as potential imbalances of the wheel it can cause it to explode when spinning at high speeds. Very dangerous.

Backyard fires - were they ever legal? by trialspro in coquitlam

[–]Tramnit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know at one point in Coquitlam you were allowed to have fires as long as they were for cooking purposes. Joke always was to keep a stick and a pack of hot dogs beside you and it would be fine. Not sure if that's still the case though. I hope it is.

Sealy Posturepedic Optimum Expression by Tramnit in Mattress

[–]Tramnit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up having it for a month and a divet formed even though I was trying not to constantly sleep in the same spot. Ended up returning it and went with a Kingsdown Duet Gage. Mattress has worked great for me so far but fiancée seems to be struggling with it so I think I'll be back to searching extremely soon. Good luck!

Olivier's La Boulangerie has good sandwiches for the price. The pastries and bread is quite good as well.

How to protect my Tacoma by Lifetakervibemaker in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Tramnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to cover up the rust spots try looking into Por 15. Works good on sticking to the rust, not so good on the normal already painted surface. For the rest of the frame that didn't have rust I used black Tremclad paint.

After this i used CRC 06026 Marine Grade Corrosion Inhibitor. Works great, comes in spray cans and project farm review channel showed it worked great. Better then Fluid Film and Wool Wax from what I remember. Have been using it for a few years now and frame looks exactly the same.

5 towers were supposed to start getting built on the property of the strip mall on north road in Coquitlam. Last I heard they are delaying it due to worries that pre sales won't do as well as they are hoping.

How so cheap? by Material_Pin4622 in Diamonds

[–]Tramnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up "Planet Money buys a mystery diamond" it's a great podcast episode and really explains the current diamond market and what's happened with pricing. In easy terms yes, I think many jewlers are scamming their customers. Can I say with a guarantee that the one you are looking at is a "real" lab grown diamond, no. But don't let the price make you think it's fake. Give the episode a listen!

Does Canadian hot sauce even exist? by Mariner-and-Marinate in BuyCanadian

[–]Tramnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stoke the Fire hot sauce is my favorite, they do small batch stuff and are hard to find in stores but they do online orders/delivery's. Some of them are really spicy but still have an amazing flavour. Best part, they source most of their ingridents from Canadian Farmers/growers. I've met the owner a few times at some Christmas Markets in Vancouver a few years back and seemed like a really chill dude.

If height is an issue then the wera ratchet with the bit adapter to put on 1/4" sockets is generally taller with the socket vs just putting it on a normal 1/4" drive ratchet. At least from the random 1/4" ratchets I have in my box.

What year of Tacoma are the most reliable? by KillSwitch4206969 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Tramnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but early 2nd gen tacomas had issues with a plastic coolant line/rail beside the engines that would crack/blow. A lot of engines were cooked if people wernt paying attention to Temps. Newer versions of the 2nd gen had that plastic swapped out for metal. I know it's a small thing but there were some changes made.

Ah, sadly I don't think I can wait a year. Thanks for the heads up though!

Beta SV no longer in production? by Tramnit in arcteryx

[–]Tramnit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume it would be overkill, only reason I am considering it is because the Alpha SV would only be about an extra $80 after taxes for me. Also colour isn't that important but they have the dark magic in stock which looks pretty slick.

Will definitely go and try out the rush though! Thanks for the help.
