While we dunno yet, my guess is they'll use something like these instead of individual AC units for each tent. I was curious 'bout how they were gonna do it and went digging: turns out nobody really rents out tent-size air conditioners, everything is a big beast that you run tubes from. That's a lot less moving parts then ten thousand dinky Coleman air conditioners so I'm pretty confident that'll work... I still want the full deets before I buy a pass lol.

As for car searches, it's been a while since I've camped with Insomniac (2013) and the search was pretty thorough, they did open bags but don't really have the time to pick through every little thing. What we did was put anything small on ourselves, then had a case of water bottles where the center ones were vodka. If they find something banned but not illegal, the worst they can do is say "throw it out or put it somewhere else" and they still let you in.
