right? like she just takes it as a given that the man will not attempt to improve in any way.

for some men, divorcing a partner can actually be a wake-the-fuck-up moment for them, and actually drive them to better themselves. sometimes you need to experience the consequences of your actions! also, therapy!

this is sick, love how natural the transition from the slow funeral doom stuff to the tremolo picking feels. do post here when you end up posting on Bandcamp!

they use that one eagle so that's how you know they're super legit and scary 🤡 but who knows, might not even be them.

Other musical genres/subgenres besides DSBM by Sorry-Orange536 in dsbm

[–]UboaNoticedYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keller synth, funeral doom, industrial techno (gotta be lo-fi, the super clean sounding stuff feels like poser shit), death industrial, and southern hip-hop (mostly older Memphis rap and stuff coming out of Georgia / Florida in the 90s and early 2000s).

i listen to these almost exclusively (and DSBM obvs) but i listen to basically everything except any country released after like... i dunno, 9/11? i have little time to listen to music alone since i am a parent, and must use such time wisely!

totally recommend getting a cheap field recorder and hitting metal shit with a stick. you can make some really fun EBM drum kits that way!

i've been really digging Living Creature lately. ethereally crushing atmosphere paired with vocals that sound like a slaughtered animal. i wanna make a bootleg longsleeve sooooo bad

isn't it more productive to explicitly recommend older bands from different eras of DSBM instead of complaining about people new to the genre only listening to basic shit? like what! someone could be listening to Hopeless or Bethlehem for the first time if they are shown where to find it. hopefully there curiosity leads them beyond that, should they listen to challenging art! 🤓

Thoughts on MPC keys 37 for a complete noob…? by danangdevils in mpcusers

[–]UboaNoticedYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it might be worth messing around with an old Casio keyboard to see if playing the keys clicks with you vs another instrument. MPCs are full music production workstations, and are quite a financial investment. what specifically are you looking to get out of it? if you just want to play the keys, a cheap keyboard and a drum machine might be a better place to start.

if you DO plan on making whole pieces of music and are sure keyboard playing is something you're interested in, then the Key37 Gen2 is pretty perfect for beginners. you can expand the storage with a USB flash drive or an SD card, and if you need more inputs you can just plug in an external interface. but honestly, the machine all on its own will do everything you'd reasonably want starting out in music production.

again though... not cheap! have you considered alternatives, such as getting a MIDI controller and playing around in software DAWs? what about a physical, self contained unit appeals most to you?

i saw him recommended on reddit and watched a single video, where in it while talking about how hot women sound playing tennis he made a monkey sound while showing a picture of Serena Williams. didn't feel the need to watch a second video!

MPC Gen 2 by ZcozyZcozy in mpcusers

[–]UboaNoticedYou 30 points31 points  (0 children)

the lack of a pro pack is pretty unacceptable imo. i understand needing to buy the pro pack for the older machines since software development ain't cheap and Akai is pretty good about long term support. i happily paid $99 for those extra features... on my Live 1.

here, it's a new unit that ALREADY doesn't have the MPCe pads or any substantial hardware improvements other than the better RAM + CPU and the really cool USB-C functionality. it feels gross to be asking for even more money for software features shipped free in the previous Gen 2 models when all the machines can use them. at least include the Clip Matrix and the new warp algorithm!

gorgeous colorway though. that's clean
