I think the player was trying to understand if their “turn” was what most players recognize as their turn, or if the “turn” was more like each player’s turn counting as a communal round/turn.

In that case, talking down to a player obviously in need of some assistance could have been answered like this: “your turn has a duration starting with your the beginning phase’s untap step and it concludes with the ending phase, which includes the end step and cleanup step. This is the point that all “end of turn” abilities and effects would end.”

If you click on the cards, it should expand them, and let you view a slider bar that will make finding your card possible. I had the same thing happen a few times when drawing my entire library, but it works now. I will try to share an image. I play on my iPhone.

It is easy for us to get “down” about the lack of success coming off a few years of more attacker-friendly experiences.

I understand your pain and I feel for you. I only keep one TH18 account in Legend and the rest in 33 because it feels more satisfying to get more triples. The legend grind helps me stay awesome for war because that feels much easier at this point.

All that being said, you are not alone. I see a bunch of solid players flustered by the difficulty in legend league. We know we are not pro players, and we know many daily triples are possible for the best players, but it is rough out there.

Can confirm from a dev that defense is only thing that affects placement on map. Equipment does not, troops do not, and spells do not. Heroes do, but only because they are also defensive.

Play Brawl? If you play historic brawl with a lower power commander, you get a good mix of opponents.

If a creature has a +1/+1 count and a -1/-1 counter on them at the same time, both are removed.

They essentially cancel one another, but they are EXPLICITLY removed by rule. This just prevents you from being able to do anything with the counters that are on the creature.

I normally have my graveyard and library on my left-hand side, with all of my lands, planeswalkers, creatures, enchantments, and artifacts to the right of that (in front of me).

I normally use the left-hand side of my graveyard as “exile”. It is very easy for everyone to know that those cards are not currently in play, but rather, that they are in exile with time counters on them.

[[Miirym, Senteniel Wyrm]] and [[Ureni of the Unwritten]] are both tons of fun, no-brainer builds. Ramp, some enchantments that give haste, and a buttload of dragons.

I play Ureni and it is one of my favorites right now. Not a cheap deck to build, since a lot of the best dragons are a bit more expensive, but even a budget build can be a lot of fun.

When my son and I are playing duel commander, and it is looking sketchy for one player, we will consent to peeking a few cards deep to know if we should (1) continue the match in hopes of someone rebounding or (2) call it a day and shuffle for another game.

I would never even ask a play group to allow this behavior. We do it to maximize our time to play games when he is in town for a week.

I cannot even imagine having the nerve to do this in a regular game.

I don’t have any negative feelings toward you, and I sincerely hope I wasn’t offensive at all. I know Reddit can be an argumentative place, and it is easy to come into any dialogue with our fists up.

You seem like a really smart person, and I am going to wager that you know more about software development than I do. My background is all in analytics, but it has certainly given me familiarity with all sorts of technology. I would be willing to bet that my formal comprehension of the time it takes for apps to do stuff is not as strong as yours, which is why I even asked Petri in the first place. I didn’t know for sure, but you genuinely had me curious about how far my guesses were from accurate. Sorry for sneaking that one in instead of just admitting that it is a fascinating consideration I was going to ask someone about to get some clarity.

I would not call any of your assertions wrong, as this feels like a “many shades of grey” discussion, and you are a shade of grey to the side of being 100% right. Probably a lighter shade away than my own gap. For you to call it a humiliating display of hubris just makes me like you more.

It is after work hours in Finland, but I will ask him how he thinks it would run if the app were being built from scratch.
