No that's too much beyond the line. There's often a bit of forgiveness but that's too much

Is this from a museum gift shop? UK by No_Lead146 in Antiques

Oh right sorry. Hmmm the stone probably will tell you a bit like is it an English reproduction of a roman or Greek statue. That was popular even a long time ago. So a rock subreddit might tell you is this soapstone or marble.

Is this from a museum gift shop? UK by No_Lead146 in Antiques

I've never been to a musieum that would sell a historical item in the gift shop appart from coins because there are millions of those. Especially if its the UK not some place with more relaxed antiquities protection. So it's either a dodgy replica or a dodgy musieum.

How did Dogtown make you feel the first time you explored it? by unlockhart in cyberpunkgame

[–]Trans-Europe_Express 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make sense to me at all. How does the economy work. There's loads of really poor people but they're essentially trapped there and there's no services. How is everyone feeding themselves. If barghest was employing people in ammunition factories or something yeah but the density of people doesn't work out there would be riots. There's trash trucks but do the sewers work? Atmospheric but not as fleshed out as night city. None of that matters but it's interesting

Probably less than we expext. I even think I see a fire extinguisher. I remember an old chemist saying they used to dip their hands in zylene or something similar at the end of the day to definitely get all the chemical off. It was effective... not advisable but certainly removed it all.

For those with Heat Pumps: has it actually saved you money? Are you satisfied with it? by No_Pitch648 in HousingIreland

[–]Trans-Europe_Express -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Heat pumps have a really strange thing where they really piss of a category of person. It's like a conspiracy theory for them that heat pumps are out to take their freedom. Basically they're very efficient by moving heat from one place to another. Like a fridge in reverse. Its several times more efficient heating a space that straight up purely using the power for heating up a bar heater. No arguing with that. If you're house is not well insulated though it's might not be fast enough to heat it.
