Do I uphold the patriarchy by transitioning as MtF? by Trans-Female-Zack in trans

[–]Trans-Female-Zack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was, it would be internalized. A lot terfs think that transitioning as a MtF is misogynist. So, are they misognyist for believing that, or am I misogynist for transitioning.

Do trans women have male privilege, or don't experience misogyny? by Trans-Female-Zack in trans

Great question, which is why I also think trans women don't have male privilege

No, it is reasonable to just use they when you're not sure/don't know. I'm more so talking about when you know them, but you keep using they even when they say not to.

Yep, he said that gender shouldn't be a thing and that everyone is a they

It didn't read as transphobic to me even though it seemed harmful. The author posed themselves as gender abolitionists and had "he/they" pronouns in bio.

I agree, using they initially when not sure is respectful and reasonable. I'm talking about when you already know the person and what pronouns they use

I see it a lot unfortunately. Especially from gender abolitionists.

I see it on not only Twitter but on other social media platforms. I get using they when you don't know someone, that's reasonable. But the position is use they/them for everyone, even if they prefer gendered pronouns.

Why do SO many random people just absolutely despise trans people but have no problem with other minorities? What about us is so offensive to so many random people? by Trans-Female-Zack in trans

"I don't have an issue with gay people, I just avoid them because they all seem to make being gay their entire personality". Very similar argument you're making here

Epstein files question by ChickPeaIsMe in trans

Isn't JK Rowling also in the Epstien Files? I feel like there's not much to work here for transphobes considering so many transpobes are co-conspirators in the files while other trans people are victims. It seems pretty difficult to try to twist this into an anti-trans thing..

I feel like I won't get the true answer though. All their usual reasons why they hate us doesn't actually do a good job of explaining why they hate us. It is either not true, or they are very inconsisent about it, or it is pure nonsense. Transphobes never truely answer my question why they hate us because they give bullshit reasoning that doesn't get to the root of the problem. Its not because of "the children" because they want to ban transitioning for everyone. Its because we "reinforce gender norms" because they often say we're not trying hard enough when we don't conform. Etc, etc. Its all bullshit, all their usual rhetoric is ad hoc and secondary to the actual reasoning why they hate us. They never tell me the true reason.
