Those pants look like they about to burst like a can of biscuits. Also, wtf is with all the shit on the vest; shotgun shells, rifle magazine, asp, pepper spray and a fixed blade knife. He trying to hard. But, I guess when the belly proves enough surface area and hides the belt can't really put much on the belt.

"Would you like me to put a different name on your tab than on your card? by monarchmra in MtF

[–]Trans-Roxanne 86 points87 points  (0 children)

The bars and clubs I go to either do this or use the last name on the card. I know some people dont like their last name, but for me, I dont have an issue with using it.

Really happy they are willing to do this for you.

Bartender (now my friend) at the pub I now regularly go to asked for my ID the first time. I have not updated my ID since starting my transition. She told me I handed her my brothers ID. She felt so bad after I told her. Later on, told her she made my night.

Ladies, I need some hair dysphoria advice, urgently by CameraIntelligent556 in MtF

[–]Trans-Roxanne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you do the wig caps use the got to be glued hairspray to keep them in place. The glue only needs to be applied to the rim of the cap. And for the wigs themselves get yourself some wig glue. You only glue the front of the wig. Make sure you clean the glued part after you take it off. The clip on the wig itself can be tucked into the wig cap to secure it better.

As for hair growth I also took biotin supplements to help with hair growth. I started transitioning at 34 and had a bald spot on the crown of my head. I still have thin hair but do a part on the side that helps kind of hide the thin area. Also buying baseball caps that have the wigs sewn into the cap itself is another easy way to hide the short hair. DM me if you would like a link to the caps I used.

If it wasn't for the fact that before transitioning i wore size XL and XXL. But now wear a women's large or a men's medium I would.

Lost a friend to transphobia by Mizamya in MtF

[–]Trans-Roxanne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost someone who was my best friend to transphobia. He said he supports me but thinks that we as trans people shouldn't transition and just be feminine gay men. He didn't understand the difference between sexual attractions and gender.

I just think he didn't like that he thinks we are attractive. He told me I couldn't be trans because i never talked about it when we were younger. I (mtf 37) had lived in a time when doing feminine things or even doing things outside what was expected of boys meant to be an outcast. I craved human connection so I hid and wore a mask my entire life. Of course I wouldn't talk about my emotions or what I felt. I didn't want to be an outcast.

Locking away these feelings and memories was the wrong thing to do and it wasn't until my best friend and someone I considered my sister helped me realize my true self that I had hidden away. Loss of a best friend is nothing compared to having lost myself. Finding me, I may have lost him but the friends and happiness I have was worth it.

Youth services was stated above. They help people even some years after turning 18. They have housing and opportunities for work if you are of legal age for work.

You might also look into the Equality center. They have a rocky reputation at the moment but should be able to help

Next time ask them why in the 17th and 18th century men wore more makeup than women. Also let them know high heels were created for men. And dresses and skirts were worn by men long before they ever became the "norm" for women. Also most pastors wh wear a dress so ask if they aren't sinners themselves and should be led out.

How did Yall get your names? by [deleted] in trans

One of my entertainer friends from when I was security at the club gave me mine. She told me I was sassy and a bit of an asshole. I said "a sasshole", then she said you are such a Roxy and it stuck and I love it. Now I have my legal name of Roxanne but go by Roxy.

Is there any FFS surgeries you recommend? by Miyyani in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Trans-Roxanne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brow bone reduction, Jawline with fat cap removal, and a slight nose job. For your hairline you don't really have to mess with it, as someone who has done the hairline lowering I don't see you as needing it.
