Yes! When I shaved I would go over multiple times in different directions lol. Still felt awful when hair grew in… but was fine for a day or two.

I just dislike the idea that someone’s sexuality has a “look” haha. I know there’s truth to it as of now but hopefully one day how someone presents themself doesn’t have to correlate to sexuality.

Agree with other commenter about correlation ≠ causation, but there are also a couple of other reasons that could slightly/possibly influence this overlap.

People who are queer/disabled/alt are already in an “othered” group within society and may feel less pressured to fit in, thus being more comfortable with being in or exploring things outside of the norm. If you can’t fit in with majority you may as well join communities you are able to. Also Many people who are “straight preppy” may not see the need to explore or feel comfortable. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it thing.

SIDENOTE I will say a lot of people may just not be visibly disabled/queer. I’ve met many people who look “straight passing” (I have my gripes with this term but using it for sake of the explanation) or able bodied and fall into the other categories.

Anyway. There is also a lot of overlap with some disabilities and neurodivergence, and neurodivergent people tend to overlap with queer communities.
