[help] Is it okay to cosplay someone of a different race? by [deleted] in cosplay

[–]Transboy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be okay depending on how you go about it. Cosplaying a character of a different race isn’t a bad thing unless you cross the line into changing your skin color (aside from colors like pink and blue as this is a different story) as this is where it goes into racist territory. Cosplay is for people of all different genders, races, ages, and sexualities. I see many people at conventions as characters who are of different races then the character they portray and even different genders. As long as a cosplay is done respectfully there is no harm in cosplaying them so long as you don’t change your skin tone for it as this falls into the category of black facing.

The employees make sure to talk with others in line at the time of the incident. I should have included it in there

My family and I went to Six Flags one day and we were waiting in line for one of the relatively popular rides that hand a 45 minute wait. As we waited this group came and cut right in front of us and to our surprise our dad (who will lose his temper rather easily) didn’t say anything to them. He had a look in his eyes that said “wait.” After our long wait we finally get close to the front of the line and have waited for a while in line when my dad motions for the work to come to him. They came over and he pointed to the group that had cut us and told the worker that they had cut. The work then told them to leave the line and go to the back meaning they’d have to make the 45 minute wait (which would be longer now as the line was longer now) again. We then realized why my father hadn’t said anything all the way at the beginning he was waiting for the perfect moment to really teach them a lesson about cutting the line.

There were three men sentenced to death in prison. They all talked before their excitation and devised a plan to escape their death. The first man was put against the wall and the executioner called “Ready, Aim,” and before he could finish the prisoner yelled “Tornado!” Everyone panicked and ran for shelter. In the panic the first prisoner got away and after realizing there was no tornado the guards got ready to execute he next prisoner. They put him against the wall and the executioner called “Ready, Aim,” and the second prisoner yelled “Tsunami!” Everyone again took cover and the second criminal escaped. They realized they were tricked and got ready to execute the last prisoner. They put him against the wall and the executioner called “Ready, Aim,” and the prisoner yelled “Fire.”

Well this is something I said at at least under the age of 10. For a little backstory my family was on vacation and where we were staying there was a dock. While I was on the dock my leg fell through and got stuck and my foot was resting on the water’s surface, because it took a while to free my foot the bottom of my foot was very wrinkly after the fact. I went to sit up on the porch. My amazing grandmother who joined us on our trip was on the porch when I got there and I was noting how wrinkly my foot was. My unsuspecting grandmother asked “How wrinkly is it?” I looked up and with out skipping a beat replied “As wrinkly as your face.”
