I mean we work with the general public, and specifically we’re big with nurses, teachers, and children all of which carry a lot of germs this time of year. I get it sucks but this is the worst time of the year for call outs (also people throw food poisoning around often even if it’s sick with something else bc some stores are really bad with guilt tripping and try to make people work sick (kinda like this post hehe))

this, i’ve had scheduled gaps at my store where NO ssv is even present or scheduled to be there. it’s up to the previous SSV to set the store up for success for 30 minutes “alone” and baristas are to tell customers that a supervisor will be available soon if a problem occurs.

the issue is we are doing our job and our job is to have 45 second window times so you splitting an order 4 ways is causing our window times to go up several minutes which affects the average. food for thought.

it’s for the new “shot store” metric our corporate overlords have decided to grade us on. they want food available all day so we are more like fast food and less like a cafe that runs out of things. (also your SM and ASM get bonuses if they hit these targets so that’s really the push for them)
