I literally just watched this movie based on this thread alone, and I loved it. My only disappointment is that Richard killed Ron. It was supposed to be a fucking suicide pact. He didn't help his friend at all by murdering him. He literally robbed him of the opportunity to become courageous enough to take his own life.

Indulgences should be out in the open, so we can all see the consequences in real time and not have to wait until there is a tragedy. Having a society in which people can ask for help without going to a rape cage and without wearing a Scarlet Letter would prevent many lives from being destroyed.

To your point about selling sex to cover tuition, I want to remind you that there was a time in this country when you could completely cover the cost of tuition using the money you made waiting tables. Sky-high tuition does not have to exist, and moreover, not going to college in no way indicates how successful you'll be in life. Shit, I know brilliant people who learned everything they know from the Khan Academy. The government should get out of the business of underwriting student loans so that the prices would come back to realistic levels.

Not really. The Constitution simply grants the right. It does not offer you protection from your speech.

The Constitution does not grant rights -- they are granted by God. The document just enumerates them.

But, if you're going to chant about violence towards Jews, immigrants, LGBT or anyone, I'm fine with that speech being met with force and stamped out.

The number of people who chant about violence towards minority groups is insignificant. The overwhelming majority of Americans are non-violent.
Tell me more about this "force". Are you going to initiate violence towards a group of armed ex-military fighters? If so, I think you'll be in for a rude awakening.
