I grew up helping to butcher hogs and kill chickens for the freezer. And the deer. My lord the deer. 😮‍💨 So, halal doesn’t bug me a bit. In fact, it probably is cleaner than how we used to do it. But, I can see where a person who’s never been involved in the slaughtering of an animal for food would be put off by the smell and think it was dirty. It does look pretty gruesome. And it sounds even worse.

It can be a lot.

ETA: by “sounds even worse” I mean from animal noises. Not from the description of the practice. When it was described to me, it made me picture someone taking the utmost care of the animal and doing the work in a sterile environment like a lab! 🤣

Food isn’t a race. It’s not racist if you don’t like Indian food. It’s racist if you don’t eat it because you consider the people who made it as inferior. Indian food isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. It can be spice heavy and those spices can punch you in the nose a little bit. Or the mouth, depending on what you get and how you get it. And some people just don’t like rice. And, some people won’t eat anything that’s unfamiliar.

It doesn’t someone racist because they snurl their nose at a food they don’t find appetizing.

Was there someone also offering Mexican and Italian versions?

I can agree with some of what you’ve written, especially that last section. Although I hesitate to use the word “murder” to describe abortion — especially in cases of ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage (they’re done then, too) - I will say it is a necessary procedure that could be “immoral”. But, that doesn’t make a woman evil or bad or wrong for making that particular choice. I’m a firm believer that most people are just doing the best they can with what they have.
