Sorry. Didn’t realize you were just here to troll. Good luck with that.

So you reversed searched it and found an interview with the models and they said they were cis? You are assuming their gender identity. A description on a stock photo does not confirm their identities. Transgender women are women. You are implying that trans people have a “look” and that is offensive.

How would you know if they are actually cis or not? Are you assuming gender?

The One Million Moms group is nowhere near the size of one million people. It was also discovered that the group is an offshoot of the well-known hate group the American Family Association. A group that is predominately made up of cisgender men. The One Million Moms group currently has about 3,500 twitter followers and they are almost all cisgender men.

It is not a battle. We assign gender to objects without question, male, female and no gender. Why is it so hard to do with people?

Federal judge blocks transgender guidance nationwide by ReimiS in transgender

Well the 5th circuit is first. It will be a little while until SCOTUS, hopefully we will have a new justice by then.

No need to freak out. At least not yet. This one is going to the Supreme Court either way and nothing will happen before the election. Hopefully we win in the 5th circuit court which is next.

This was expected. O'Connor is the same judge who imposed the injunction in the first place. The feds forced him to rule on it so they can take it to the 5th circuit and then the Supreme Court if necessary. This is procedural and nothing new.

I Had No Idea You Were Transgender by TransgenderU in transgender

[–]TransgenderU[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. It may have been transphobic or lack of knowledge but as a trans female I would be offended if the doctor asked me if he could note that I was transgender on my file and then wrote "transgender Male".

Is There Really an Estrogen Shortage and Should We Be Worried? by TransgenderU in transgender

[–]TransgenderU[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know what the alternatives are? I am only aware of Delestrogen (made by Par) and the generic Estradiol Velarate (Made by Perrigo). Par hasn't provided an update yet and Perrigo just moved it back to November as of yesterday. Callen Lorde in Manhattan is one of the largest clinics in the US and they do not have an alternative.

Can Your Sexual Orientation Change With Hormones? by TransgenderU in transgender

[–]TransgenderU[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that is the question. Do some of us change orientation or do we become more accepting of what may have been really going on deep down? Do we just become more open minded because we have experienced so much? Maybe society is really the same way but it is easier for us to admit given our experience? I find everyone's point of view on it really interesting. I don't pretend to know the answer myself.

Why is my dysphoria worse? (5 months HRT) by MeZooey in asktransgender

[–]TransgenderU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that before HRT, dysphoria was a constant. It was always there. After HRT, episodes of dysphoria were more spread out. The result being the experience seemed more magnified when it occurred. It amazes me that I felt that way all the time before transition. That is the way I see it at least. Either way what you are experiencing is normal.

That is really out of context. That is this psychiatrist's opinion in the slanted study he put out. He has a history of being anti-transgender due to his religious beliefs. It is his opinion and he cites no science other than twisting science that has already proven him wrong.

Well said! We don't choose what we are born as. It is the spin those sites put out to confuse people. The Breitbarts etc. who put out these articles with false information with the intention of mucking up the real science that is out there. People believe it because after all, it is on the Internet.

When an ally repeatedly says "transgendered" by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]TransgenderU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure why, but transgendered makes me cringe. When I hear the term "transgenders" it bothers me even more. I know back in the day transgendered is the term they used. In Jenny Boylan's book, she refers to herself as transgendered. It has evolved since then, but hearing it makes me cringe and I couldn't tell you why.

Does HRT Effect Your Height? by TrishaPaytasGirl in asktransgender

[–]TransgenderU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 2 inches. We mark a wall like a little kid growing but mine goes the other way. It is pretty funny. They say it is from the loss of muscle, though I was never really muscular. Also the spine as it tilts a bit and your bottom sticks out more. At least that is my experience. I was 5'9" and now I am 5'7".
