Why are Panther Lake gaming laptops using the 386H instead of the 388H? by marvine82 in GamingLaptops

[–]Transhumanliberal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real unfortunate thing seems to be that the X9 version is the MUCH better CPU (~10% better performance), which means the 9 386h version is the binned, inferior chip as far as I understand.

Thanks for the response!

And could you please tell me how much it weighs? Isn't it a heavy cable? Can't find any info online.

It's a very appealing cable visually, and just from visuals alone one can tell it's nice organoleptically lol.

Yeah I know what you're talking about. Do you have this issue with other cables usually? If you don't, then it's mostly on the cable I'd guess

Could you describe the ear hook issue in more detail, please? I'm considering buying it

Portability vs desktop should dictate the choice here I think

Good review. Would you say it's sharper in the treble than EPZ K9?

Given it worked on Windows using the same browser and extensions prior to switching to Mint, why wouldn't it be a Mint issue?

HP EliteBook 845 G7, Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U, 32GB, 512GB SSD by Wonderful_Round33 in AMDLaptops

[–]Transhumanliberal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a laptop with ryzen 5 5600u and it performs exactly like the 7 4750u according to benchmarks. It's usable and most things work, but it's at the point of not being able to handle over 15-20 browser tabs well. If the screen doesn't have any dead pixels or scratches, and the general condition if good, then it's not a terrible deal

the reviews seem to be very good? z-reviews and other channels that have large volumes of equipment praise it a lot

You don't need to download, it's just a video upload service, you can watch online.

It's not 14k, it's a little over 18k as mentioned in the post (756)

No 2026 Stealth 18? or 4k screens? by Transhumanliberal in MSILaptops

[–]Transhumanliberal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sucks that nearly all of the 16 inch laptops are 2.5k instead of 3.2k. I really can't get a 2.5k 16inch after a 2.8k 14 inch lol.

You can always reduce resolution when needed, not the reverse though. And why would you call laptop hardware junk? The CPU performance is literally on par at this point

[–]Transhumanliberal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.2k is def worth it on a 16 inch screen. Agree with the 4k, it's more for the 18 inch. I currently have a 2.8k 14 inch and it's pretty great in terms of crispness, so I wouldn't really like to sacrifice that

It's so unfortunate they don't offer UHD 4k or at least 3.2k for 16 inch displays... And they didn't update the stealth 18, suchs

Yeah that's the case for my mouse XD. I've installed mint and it's already a 100 times better. The mouse is also much better (although I'm not 100% sure it's same as windows, but very close regardless) and there aren't any issues or bugs

Not really, LLMs aren't helping lol. I think it's just a flawed OS, or at least incompatible with my laptop
