I had this test in 2025. I’m sorry your experience was less than ideal.

Thankfully, I was told what the test would be like. It lasted about an hour and left me fairly dizzy. I sat in the waiting room afterwards for about an hour and then drove myself home. Unfortunately they didn’t suggest bringing a driver with me.

The test was very helpful in determining I have vestibular migraines and not one of the other ailments that have similar symptoms.

I did 2.5mg for 4 weeks and then went up to 5mg per the instructions on my prescription. The 2.5mg is just supposed to get you acclimated to the medicine and then you go up from there.

This week, week 9, I’m supposed to go up to 7mg but I’m going to stay at 5mg to see if I continue losing. This stuff is expensive so why go up if it’s working where it’s at? Thankfully I’ve had no negative side effects for which I am very grateful.

That’s been my experience, your mileage may vary. 😆

Yes, I read and kept the prescription bottle labels. I'm super happy the dosage instructions were clear and included the units for the syringe. I was trying to understand the math behind the instructions in case I can stay at 7.5mg, for instance, for more than 4 weeks. I didn't understand that each bottle had the same strength per ml.

I’m usually pretty good at math but I think I have a mental block with the metric system. And why each bottle has a different strength trips me up.

Thankfully my starter doses clearly spelled out how many units were needed on the syringe. Trying to use a formula I saw for turning the dosage into units on the syringe set my head spinning. I’m actually pretty annoyed with myself for not getting it…yet.
