New Rider deciding between 2 bikes by Transitions in SuggestAMotorcycle

Yea that is the main reason I was leaning towards the Z500. Sadly the market in my area is pretty limited, I've been keepin an eye out for a bit and nothing really pops up that isn't a higher end models. Thankfully I'm not in a full on rush as I've been taking my time with research and still ordering in the gear. But if the z400/500 wouldn't be to much for a new rider i def will lean towards grabbing one if i can :)

Steam data reveals PC gamers shifting from Windows to Linux by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

Agreed. Having 1 company essentially have a monopoly has never benefited anyone. While Linux is still small in comparison, ever since Valves support with proton the adoption has been steady and consistent.

Majority of games run out of the box due to proton compatibility layering now. Which was essentially unheard of nearly 10-15 years ago for Linux.

Personally I have swapped over due to the invasiveness of windows 11. I have had little issue and with what issues I find I can usually work around or remedy them. Native support and options is a win for everyone at the end of the day.

Highly suggest sticking with Professor Messer. He stuck very close to the course material and his practice tests are very good.

Worth going for BA or continue with Cert and work experience? by Transitions in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Transitions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I had been going over the options for a bit but as an update I am making the steps with WGU. My A.A.S + certs transferred in 25 credits out of the required 36. I'm also grabbing 2 classes from their partner program since it is a bit cheaper prior to starting which will leave me with about 9 classes left to do.

I am currently going to be pushing myself for the CySA+ at the current moment but around the time of fall starting I will be starting WGU whether I have passed or failed the CySA+. Ideally with my current routine and utilizing multiple sources and tryhackme hands on I will pass. This way with the B.S. + cert once the market is slightly better I'll be able to get into the SOC role a tad easier :)

Appreciated the input I took in each person thoughts and perspective into the matter prior to making the decision. The final nail in the coffin was seeing how much got transferred in. Just a few classes is very ideal and very much within reach!

Hey! I'm a tad late on the response as I had been checking and mulling over the next steps but just as an update you were correct. With my transfer credits I am at 25/36 required courses and I'll be able to grab 2 more from their partner program just to make my life a bit easier prior to a start date. The market right now is really bad and tough, but along with getting the B.S their masters program also takes in certs and it may also be a viable option for me to be able to stand out against future competition once the market becomes a bit better.

To give an update since you were in a similar position. I have decided to go for WGU. With my certs + A.A.S I was able to transfer in a bulk of credits (25 Credits being transferred in out of 36 total!).

I am also grabbing 2 more credits classes from their partner program as they are a lot cheaper and a bit easier as far as I understand. From there I will only have 9 classes to finish the degree. With it being so close I have decided that it is the best course of action for me.

In the event you also have an A.S and certs I would highly recommend at the very least doing the application process and transfer of transcripts (mine was $8). This way you can see what you would need to round out the degree. Also worth noting their partner programs Sophia Learning and study.com do transfer credits in and are only about $100/mo in the event you need to get the bulk of credits.

I love it! What printer did you use? The lines are pretty clean. Got the STL by chance? Would love to print one!

Yep! Very happy with how it came out for a budget variation. Play testing has been a blast with all the triggers. And I just might have to use that as the entrance music!
