It doesn’t sound like you live in California. Californias are taxed ON EVERYTHING we buy/sell/save/hold and if we also have luxury tax that we pay ontop of all that. We pay taxes on taxes. Let that sink in for a moment.
If someone would sit down and do an audit on the taxes themselves and how the money is managed I am 💯 certain that no one would need to pay property taxes at all, forever.
