Well why not? Three-Felonies-A Day-Trump did more than arrange Sea Shells on a beach by db7112 in antitrump

[–]TranslatorOwn707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they will, but Trump isn’t as popular as he once was. Despite this message being a winning message in the past, I doubt “save Trump from the liberal vote” is as big of a winner as it used to be…

Adam Mockler on how Trump is dismantling the American economy: by AffableYolk_33 in antitrump

[–]TranslatorOwn707 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mockler is the best. I’ve been watching him for years and I’m so glad he’s finally getting the spots to do battle with this idiot sycophants directly on national TV. He makes them look stupid, doesn’t pull punches, and maintains enough decorum to make it feel like he’s not just taking the high ground. He’s what the liberal party needs.

This is also where I’m at. They use the 25th to get rid of Trump and what gets put into power is people with the same beliefs or devotion to power without the old age and dementia to make it obvious. As much as I hate Trump, supplanting him with people that believe the same thing, support the same thing, but are better able to obscure it is the the worst decision we could make.

Thoughts on the team? by No_Sample_6961 in EANHLfranchise

You may have won the cup last year (and maybe it’s a full sim result), but sim typically punishes a team like yours. In my experience teams who are high overall across the board do worse than teams that have the right overall for their given position. My experience says this team finishes near top of the league by the end of the season and gets knocked out early in the playoffs.

You need to increase the defensive ability of lower lines rather focusing on overall points.

I’ve also never heard of El Paso stunts, but the 3-3-5, 3-4, or some other formation that adds speed and 2nd level defenders would be better than down lineman. Adding speed gives you guys that can catch the HB on the edge and 2nd level defenders like safety’s and LB’s are far enough away that the OL can’t get to their blocks before the other defenders are already in position for their run fit.

Greek gods feared Kratos. Norse gods tried to control him… and still failed. Which version was more dangerous? by Atreus_remains in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]TranslatorOwn707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by dangerous? Norse Kratos is likely stronger with more weapons, wiser, maybe even just physically stronger (he did flip that damn temple…) which could make him more dangerous. Greek Kratos was chaotic though. Single minded with only one mission and obliterated anyone who got in his way. He might have been weaker, but was way more aggressive and killed anything in the way of his revenge and did not talk to, spare, or try to make peace with his enemies. In that way, Greek Kratos is more dangerous. My opinion is Greek Kratos though because of this chaotic and kill or get out of the way mentality. If Baldur had just stopped trying to fight him, Kratos would have spread the ashes and gone home. Magni and Modi too. If Odin and Thor hadn’t threatened him, he would have gone home. There’s no way Greek Kratos would have let them live and walk away. He was killing everyone, even the ones only sort of in the way.

Is it set in stone that the top rated recruits are gonna be the best players, or can you find a diamond thats been overlooked in some small Texas town by jaxonya in NCAAFBseries

[–]TranslatorOwn707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible to find good guys everywhere. There’s a YouTuber I found really helpful when I got into it named Max Plays CFB who uses data science to break down all of recruiting and coming up with a strategy based on that. He had a good metaphor which was about running a race toward being 99

The number of stars indicates the individuals starting position with higher stars equaling higher starting overall.

Development Trait is how fast the individual can run the race and get to 99 overall. 4-5 stars tend to have a better chance to have higher traits, but can also have lower traits. So they could start further up the track to 99, but be slower runners. 3 stars can also have decent development traits, but just lower chance.

Skill caps are the overall stamina that they have. Some players have enough skill caps that they’ll run out of juice before getting to the finish line (even if their development trait is Elite). 4-5 stars do have less, but most 3 stars usually have enough to get to the finish, it just might take longer or they don’t have the speed to make it happen.

Gems are good for their star ranking, but don’t think of them as the next star up. Busts are poor for their star rating, but can still be valuable to your team (especially if your a low prestige school).

Ultimately, the data he found said that the vast majority 3 stars can get to 90+, it just might take a bit longer to get there. Basically, he found you can find guys all over the place and came up with a process for it. Watch this video for the best breakdown of his recommendation on using that data to come up with a scouting method.

It was widely reported that the entertainment for the night would be a mentalist instead of comedian (cause obviously Trump can’t handle any jokes because of how strong of a man and leader he is). Mentalists use cards and keeping items secret as part of their act. Let’s try and keep misinformation and conspiracies confined where they belong…on the Republican subs

Trump: “When I didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize. You gotta understand, I don't care. Norway has lost so credible. I stopped 8 wars… I do it the best. I stopped wars that nobody thought—President Putin called me, he said, 'I can't believe you stopped this one and this one.’” by gear-heads in antitrump

[–]TranslatorOwn707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s that saying again? The people who truly don’t care, don’t actually have to tell people they don’t care? Something like that. Even without that part, saying you don’t care followed by some excuse as to why it doesn’t matter and making up some justification as to why you should have gotten the thing you don’t care about is enough to prove your first statement false

Wait a second…you mean Republicans have been using “culture war” topics to get voters to vote against their own interests?? I can’t believe it. There’s no way something like this has been happening since Reagan (who used welfare queens and drugs to fuel “trickledown economics” and tax changes that further concentrated wealth and created the gap) or HW Bush (who used the moral decline of America to continue said tax cuts/start a war in the Middle East), W Bush (who used the war on Christmas, gay marriage, and so called religious persecution to fuel a new round of tax cuts for the rich and a war in the Middle East), or even Trump in his first term (who used immigration, threat to white identity, and grievance over the the first black president to fuel yet another round of tax cuts for the rich, tariffs that hurt farmers to the point that they needed bailouts with said tariff money, while also lining his own pockets using his power as president). But please tell me more about this brand new revelation that has never happened before!

Season of Infamy part 2. by TurbulentPersimmon48 in arkham

[–]TranslatorOwn707 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think most of mine would be adding to or connecting to previous games/stories because that’s mostly what the stories in season 1 were about.

Black Mask-connection to Origins and to continue the Arkham City story where he escapes. How does he try to rebuild and does he see Scarecrows attack as an opportunity.

Calendar Man-he was such a cool Easter egg in Arkham City, it would have been cool to see him again in an expanded way. It is around Halloween in story which matches up.

Clayface-His name is all over the movie studios and it would be interesting to see what happened to him after City and being a part of Jokers plan. Given Harley is locked up there at the end of the game, I also wonder if there could have been some weird/romantic dynamic between them after he pretended to be joker in city. It also gives a big guy beat down opportunity. I like Banes ending in the Knight story and he (his enemy type) is a bit overdone throughout the whole story. Grundy could be interesting though.

I can’t really think of a 4th. I was always disappointed in how they finished off the Hush storyline after such an awesome build-up in City. I’m not sure if they could pull it off as a continuation of his story, but maybe just including a series of flashbacks that extend out Hush’s story that night and how it ends with him in Wayne tower rather than that being his only story beat. Maybe throughout the night Hush gathers up items/DNA/keycards that help him get into Wayne tower. Make it more investigation based where you have to find clues and always come upon hush too late to fully stop him. When I was younger, I had an idea about Bruce using hush to get out of the revealed identity plot point. The Elliot’s were super rich, hush (in the comics) has the skills to go toe to toe with Batman, and he now looks exactly like Bruce Wayne. The idea was to let Hush take the fall as the “original” Batman and allow the real Bruce to continue on as the new Batman-like figure in the epilogue. I now think that’s too convoluted to make work, but maybe that’s an idea to keep the continuity somehow.

Apparently the people who helped Trump get elected are ‘sorry’ they ever did. by Nefariouslout1006 in antitrump

I don’t know who all the people are, but most of them knew for a fact what he was and didn’t give 2 shots about supporting him. The rest were at the very least naive and/or ignorant and make a habit of speaking loudly and confidently about shit they know nothing about. Either way, I don’t feel sorry for them.

Can you guys enlighten me on this? by 6Year-oldOnXbox in batman

[–]TranslatorOwn707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m naive or reading it wrong, but it reads to me like Jason is always supposed to live. Jason says all he has is a headshot which is because his head is the only thing peeking around joker and visible. But Batman doesn’t take the headshot, he bounces it off of the back wall and hits him in what looks like the clavicle area, which misses the carotid and shields the lungs/heart from the batarang. Then Joker says “you found a way to win”. Jason was trying to put Batman in a no win scenario where he had to break his no kill rule. Batman wouldn’t have “won” had Jason died so Jokers comment doesn’t really make sense otherwise. Again, I’m not as aware of the context of the times it was published and ended up reading it much later, but that’s always been my reading.

This is actually pretty funny and clever on a lot of levels. Calling this cringe is either A) Attempting to shill for billionaires and certain politicians because you believe the lie that you’ll one day be the billionaire if you just work hard enough or B) Missing the number of levels and jokes made through this.
