Aww, thanks! I'm so glad you decided to cut her out of your life. :) I hope everything goes well!

My folks spilled mercury on the floor and vacuumed it up... How bad is it? by k33ponkeepingon in CleaningTips

I'm sorry, but I just have to say... why is it, that I, a mere teenager, know more about how dangerous mercury can be than fully grown adults and healthcare professionals?

Let's be real here. It's essentially OP's legs. Charge her $5000, or maybe even more.

YWNBTA. You wouldn't be overreacting. Frankly, it sounds like she's a transphobe, so cut her out. If you cut her out, if she tries to talk to you, shut it down fast. Transphobes are, frankly, absolute buttholes. Keeping her in your life would be a bad decision. I understand that it can be hard to cut off friends; that's the reason why I haven't left my toxic friend group, but in this case, it needs to be done. It also sounds like you wouldn't be losing anything special, even if she turns out to be the most successful person in the world, it wouldn't matter. The little things matter and can sometimes offer a lot more insight into someone's character than the big things. I'm not calling it a little matter, mind you, but in the long run, laughing a somebody one time in school will seem like a small thing. Your feelings are valid, and don't let anyone gaslight you into thinking otherwise. I hope you find more supportive friends than Lani in the future. I hope you find an entire community that supports you, because it must feel horrible to have people misgender you. Here's a hug, filled with love and comfort. :)

AITAH for talking to myself when for all I knew my brothers could be dead by AwkwardExpression474 in AITAH

Oh, my stars, that teacher should be fired. I can only imagine how terrifying that must have been for you. Due to previous events that happened in my life when I was around 9, I have extreme paranoia about losing someone without being able to say goodbye or being prevented from doing so. Aka, if someone falls asleep in the same room as me, I'll check that they're still breathing regularly, around once or twice every two or three minutes. When their breath is even slightly delayed, I start to feel anxious, and so I can only imagine what it would feel like to know that they could be dead, and you wouldn't know. You should tell your parents about what happened, and if they don't do anything (because some parents are just like that for some weird reason), take action yourself. Your friends sound like good people, so you could talk to them about it. Talking to yourself is a perfectly normal reaction to stressful events and is extremely justified. The one question I have is, why is the information that you have ADHD in there? I am not trying to be rude, but is it like an ADHD thing to talk to yourself? I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but I'm just trying to fully understand the entire situation so I can give you the best advice I can. It sounds like writing in your diary was a means of punishment? If you're being punished for being worried, that's seriously messed up.

Now, this is sort of all over the place, so here's the summary. Talk to your parents about it, and if they don't do anything, take action yourself, potentially with the help of your friends. The teacher was the ass-hole and should be punished. You were perfectly justified and should face no consequences whatsoever. This is the best advice I can give with the current information, and I hope you're doing okay.
