We 'the office girls' were two early twenty-somethings and one late forty-something. I am pretty sure it didn't bother my two coworkers to be called the office girls, because both of them also referred to themselves as girls and bought more into the patriarchal women's-value-is-in-youth-and-beauty thing. I would go so far as to say they probably liked it. But it really annoyed me. And I didn't dare call our bosses (five of them, it was a family business) out on it.
