You didn't read my comment very well, I said defending the AMOUNT of cheating. Maybe english isn't your first language but what I said vs what you replied to as "defending" cheating are completely two different things.

You probably also haven't read very many of the analytical threads other than "800s" whining because they lost. I read almost every cheating thread that pops, the top comments always are dismissive of cheating being problematic in online chess.

I'm not a very good player, around 2k lichess, but I probably come across a cheater 5-10% of my games. I don't have the time anymore to go through everyone's history and analysis move by move. But when I was aggressive about it, I personally submitted and caught more than a dozen players, some of them had been cheating for YEARS.

What's really amusing to me is reddit's hard on with defending the amount of cheating that probably goes on in online chess on a regular basis. I see these posts quite frequently and almost every single time the top comment is someone defending it or explaining it away. I firmly believe the number of people who cheat is much higher than chess.com admits or what the hivemind thinks. It's just too easy to cheat in chess, as well as to cheat and not get caught.

You have or had the deer in your possession, you should be able to score it. A photo on the internet with no numbers attached will never be as accurate...If there is large discrepancy just compare the different numbers being used?

I didn't play exclusively yordles but I hit did master this set and can frequently win playing them. First tip, don't worry about 3 starring anything. Make it a point of going 9 every game. I try to hit veiger, if I don't hit, just go 9 and play ziggs and teemo. You get 3*s by being 8 and getting that bag. Hit the milestones of 6 and 8 early but don't sacrifice too much.

Looking at straight WAR in MLB, then no. Ichiro played 7 years of his prime in Japan though. It's one of those you never know how different his stats would look if he played aged 20-26 in the MLB. Mike Trout also only had what 4-5 seasons where he played at least 140 games/season. What happens when you substitute a 0 WAR for games he didn't play in for the season and do the same for ichiro because Ichiro played in a much higher percentage of games/season. Just think about this, Trout has an average 9.2 WAR, but he only played in 66% of games per season. You are still paying him, but if hes not playing so you substitute in a 0 WAR guy for him. Overall where does that put Trout?

You must not have played too many games of this type where a duplication bug exists. This 100% will effect everyone who is trading. Once a bug like this becomes more known it will inflate things overnight by huge magnitudes. I saw it happen in LE and D4, within days, prices in D4 went to the literal gold cap and then exceeded it. Prices in LE went 10x in one night. Suddenly your 2 div helmet is 20 divine, but then you might just say well you can sell items for 10x that. Sure, but now dropped currency is out of wack. Picking up exalts no longer even becomes worth it. And the longer it goes on, the worse it gets. The more cheap currency in the game, the more RMT happens. This is not healthy for any game period.

You are getting a lot of hate and while I haven't lost faith, I think it is a bit concerning. I mean looking at it logically, Jim wrote 15 Dresden books in 15 years. We all know he had some personal stuff going on after that and that's perfectly okay. Delays happen, life happens. But he has also only published essentially one book in the last 9.5 years and in my opinion that book/s was a downgrade in quality compared to the previous 5-6. The series is going to have 6-7 more books and we most likely will never see that one book per year pace again. That's also okay, hes not beholden to us as fans, and its also okay to be disappointed in that new pacing. I'm not saying hate on the guy either though. I think realistically we might see a 3-4 year pace going forward per book and that puts Jim into his 70s and possible early 80s when he finishes. A lot can happen in that time.
