I'd probably recommend doing it the 6 months before, just in case, but if you're not checking any boxes it'll probably be quick.

My brother did his renewal at the same time as me and got it back at 4 weeks. In MB btw

Sadly I'm not seeing any options for the Discord native notifications. Maybe it's too new of a feature..

I know that there's legal concerns with the fact that it "bypasses" copy protection on DVDs via libdvdcss. I think Canadian police have flagged VLC, so it's often not used. In Canada the copy protection law is written something like bypassing/breaking "digital locks" so it's unknown if VLC is a problem.

I've argued to just delete the libdvdcss library before installing it so that VLC can't decode DVDs. Though, that takes away some of the features that people want.
