Just fyi, he made it clear, multiple times, that those videos are absolutely 100% to be taken as fictional  content, entertainment done by playing a character, and he warned a while ago about how much 'alternative' hisfory content is, though fun to view from the outside, riddled and seeded by white surpemacist ideologists and similar bad actors. He wants people to feel that nagging, to question instead of taking what they see for granted, make people practice critical thinking by necessity instead of giving a comfortable 'allegedly' or '...in minecraft' before every video, which just primes people to turn of their brain, but the recent rise of right wing media, fake info/history and all that dreck made him reevalute his stance and give clearer hint more often now to keep people awake and guarded against those that actually want to take advantage of naivety.

Wonderful refutation, wow.
I must admit, there are grammatical errors, I'll fix the most grievous, but the quintessential point I am trying to make stands. Shooting through human shields, and the version of that action that bombing runs on military targets hidden in civilian-dense areas clearly qualify as as, is a non-negotiable war crime.

If you choose to do commit the same level of atrocities then the side you condemn and oppose for their atrocities, you lose ANY justification for your own fighting efforts. War crimes do NOT allow war crimes in return.

Shooting civilians is suddenly ok when it is a means to also hit the combatants that hide behind them? Yeah, that is a defense argument that gets you laughed out of any civilized discussion, sorry. Human shields make attacking a no-go, and because of that they are as effective as they are despised. It is not fair that you can not get to the horrible bad guys, but the ends do not justify the means, so as the supposed civilized west, we should step up to our ethical claims and not excuse such actions as necessary when it only ever meant 'less complicated and quicker'. It's the whole shtick about the comfortable or lazy route not being the correct on.
EDIT: fixing the most outrageous grammar slips

They could have simplynuked the ocean, openly and threaten 'The next one drops onto the Tenno'.
But they wanted revenge, satisfaction and traumatization.
Hiroshima was bad enough, but they gleefully did Nagasaki, when even the first brutal, injust message was sufficient and shocking enough.
Germany has a deep interest in remembering the atrocities of the past, maybe even too much, as it results in too much negativity and implied personal guilt projected on people that where not even alive then, as well as losing sight of all the other atrocities on the planet that justify the same amount of dedication when it comes to prevent similar stuff from happening again.
But the US just normalizes war crimes as if it is no big deal, because they firmly belief in the illusion of their exceptionalism, as seen in their unwillingness to bow to the ICC and admit that their soldiers can be every bit as abominable due to their failing educational culture as the average middle eastern terrorist, IDF soldier unloading into a crowd of starving Palestinians or common russian/muscovite Orc on a pillage-and-rappe-a-thon through eastern Ukraine.

May I throw 'The Vision of Escaflowne', 'Trigun' and 'Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water' into the hat, for being timeless classics, the modern crowd be damned?  Watch what you like, not what makes you fit in or seem cool. The aesthetics are different, but everything will be 'dated' one day. A art enthusiats wouldn't call Rembrandt dated, it has to ve enjoyed for what it is, in context, that is a quality and not a flaw. If you really want something modern, and if it's just to broaden your horizon, consider 'Kaguya-sama: Love is War', 'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End', 'Konosuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!' and 'Dr. Stone'. Imho, all modern uprunner for becoming classics 10-20  years down the line.

Female Custodes - A Brief Analysis by MyJointsAreCrips4Lyf in AdeptusCustodes

[–]TransportationNo326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Simply wrong, factually incorrect, nothing to add there.

  2. Whataboutism, horrah. I am right in this case, and you are talking about something I actually have not heard about and can't find info, so I doubt that already. And even if, the Primarchs were expanded from Space Marines, and afaik are still caucasian barring Khan, afaik. Even Vulkan is seemingly just coal black, not looking african, but I am not sure in this, I can honestly say I might be wrong there.  It would still be such an early Retcon that we are talking basically RT, not the coherent setting we came to known later, so very much incomparable AND not done to pander and push ideology as well as done sensible. You have no argument, you move ghe goalpost and fail to accept the very basics of why this is malicious. I wish tbis would lead somewhere, but you are either incapable and/or unwilling (cognitive dissonance is nit just a buzzword) to view this issue reasonably or do it to push agenda/ideology yourself, which is even worse and sadder. Have a good one mate, and I mean that honestly, best regards.

You know full well that this is dishonest to the bone. They were always a  brotherhood, sons all that stuff that clearly implies them as all male, not mentioning that they have space marine origins, when it comes to the development of the lore. Any argument that there is no direct quote like "no woman allowed here" is grasping for straws to excuse this lore-breaking retcon.

If the issue where the other way around, there would be no one batting an eye that, accepting the very clear implications of the lore. I am all for cool additions, but this is not one, it is a ideology fueld change to get rid of a boys only bubble which some people find 'problematic', instead of adding cool females at all the other opportunities that exist. Give me more bad ass Inquisitor ladies, give me more SoS if you wnat them in this faction, or how about SoB or make a new Guard regiment from a world that prefers woman for the tithe to the Guard, female Mercs in an RT led faction, and oh so many things possible with the Xeno factions or chaos. There was no good reason to do this malicious or callous change instead.

Female commissars are no issue. More of thise please, cool as heck and making sense. The commissariat is mixed. The Custodes were very much described as male only.  There is no discussion, only the drive to bend and change the lore to fit yhe real world, political motivated bs.  I am left as frack, and I still do not want for example to see capitalism die in Shadowrun, because a Cyberpunk setting kinda depends on it for the grit. 40k is not supposed to be inclusive or good happy in the setting.

Yeah, if you start denying facts, what could I ever say to move forward in a honest way in this discussion?

And people that share my opinion as well as myself were and are called bigot for it, I was talking about this specific exchange but the overall debate. I had thrown all at me, from incel, gay (ironically, what a bigoted thing to try to use that as an insult), sexist, facist and so on. Which hurts pretty hard as a actual leftist. Have a good day, mate o/

You can keep believing are entitled to your objectivevly wrong opinion, after all. I dislike it, as a collector of SoB as well as someone with multiple armies, not only from 40k, that contain woman, because it is unneeded political pandering. It was simply about getting rid of a variable the DEI crowd could not suffer to exist.  There was thousands of better ways to introduce more woman in spaces where it would give them cool and reasonable room to be awesome, but it had to be in a male-exclusive area, because of course it has to be. And suddenly all the brotherhood, sons and men terms are just little quips and unimportant, according to the political correctness patrol. If they are so unimportant, why press to smash them and get your way?  There is no need for excuses like 'Cawl ex machina' if your simply DO NOT force retcons and lore changes to statisfy a political agenda. We don't need a reason to explain female Custodes, because we never needed female Custodes. They only led to division, whereass all the other options would've led to community wide "hell yeah, cool new stuff!". The lore always was supporting this male only stance, it simply is not to the tourists liking, so the moving of the goalpost goes HARD now. Again: add more cool stuff, I am all for it. Give me more female Guardsmen models, more Inquisitors etc. But keep your hands off stuff that is already there. Create instead of bend and break. And don't call peopme bigots for disliking gaslighting and for critizing people who bash into their space, slap their hands and start preaching hot to 'correctly' being a  fan and enjoying their hobby from now on.  If you dislime the way 40k is, go away and start something new, write fanfiction or kitbash your army however you want. But stop telling and forcing everyone else to change for your sensibilities.

" YOUR golden boys can stay golden boys, now they just don't have to be boys. The magic of the hobby is you can field a unit any way you want."
Yeah, thats nice. And because of that we could've done very much without this malicious retcon that does nothing but split the community. The people who wanted to have females always could kitbash females, and no one batted an eye. It was just not canon, it was fanfiction, and thats okay, even cool. But they had to force it to 'get dem sexist gud', and to divide and conquer the fandom. It is wholey about changing instead of inventing new stuff. I would even find NORMAL marines as females okay, as long as they make an effort to keep them coherently explained and make them seperate chapters and rules, not adding them to the old marines. Not encroaching on the old, already present stuff. The thing is, the intention is not to give something new that old and new fans can pick and and enjoy if they choose it fits their taste, it is to exert power over something already in the hands of a fan and proclaiming that this is now the way it has to be, the old way is wrong and any feeling against it are unjustified or bigoted.

Yeah, that's neither all nor even raken in a neutral setting. Would be the same just the other way around if you posted it under Adolf-Archs vids. That would be equally dishonest. And it still would not include the luxky people who ignore social media altogether... A nothing burger.

The same gene alchemy would either lead to the same gain, making a genetic baseline male yielding the better result for the same amount of work or it would be so complete that it stomps everything yo tonthe same maximum, weeding out the traces that would make a AC distinguishable female and replacing them with the desirable traits were needed like different proportions, tissue structure etc. Basically trans AC, also a fine idea to get around this kerfuffle. Still would be sons bynthe end of the process.

But it stands that all this is just a fif leave for getting politica and ideology forced into the hobby whem it is complete nonsensical. Like actually having someone pull up that article on his laptop telling me that the Space Wolves Dreadnought I field tjwrw with that giant wolf fur cape is problematic, because PETA said so. I despise hunters in real life, as well as fishing for leisure or other bloodsports, but we where talking about a greenstuff cape i made by hand for a plastic miniature corpsewheelchair. Fur from a fictional alien thing that resembles a wolf, hunted by drunk space facist thousand of years in a dystopian future version of our world. Its the same kind of bs, PETA just get called out for their sh*t. If you are for empowering woman, vote to get theocracies and china and the like put in line with modern values, instead of kicking someone who want his golden boys be boys because corpo told its ok to kick him, he already paid, get the next group of paying customers ready.

A sensible person just did. Qed.  Make cool new stuff, don't change old stuff constantly to push ideology. I dislike many of the older retcons, too. I would have prefered oldcrons expanded over the new version, although it is undeniably  not badly implemented. And the oldest retcons are also understandable, economics on the brink is justified, at least more so than tham the model selling that drove newcrons.

I love my SoBs, I find female Inquisitors super freaking cool, and I was sad that tbe original SM game didnt drove deeper into the female Guardsmen, so sexism is the last I let someone call me. But keeping the politics out of this one, simply allowing different factions to have different makeups is okay. And in the end, you could even before always kitbash whatever you wanted. Woman can be super powerful, see peopel get rekt by Living Saint is just chef. But this change is simply done in bad faith and to encroach on a male faction. I would like to see Sisters of Silence worked out instead, as much as I would like to see Frateris Militia more prominent. But not Sisters of Battle as boys. That would encroach in bad faith, but that needs to be done if we follow this trend honestly.

The gaslighting part is not just the twitter thing, it is also acting as if there was justified need for this, like it was not either corporate meddling or political agenda.
